What is ideal WOT RPM?

It seems that you guy's like the performance of the PRO at 8300 rpm........ and I have to agree.
Does anyone have the Dynotechs H.P., torque chart when he did his dyno run?

Just curious as to see at what RPM peak H.P. and torque are?

BTW has Jim done anymore dyno runs?
problem with a dyno...cant duplicate pipe temps...on the dragons everyone said same thing..peak at 8000-8100..polaris said 8200, what i found on the hill was bone stock ..8300 made a huge difference..with slp pipe..8450 was best on hill performance...my gut tells me right now that right around 8300 on a steep/deep climb is gonna be magic..all stock...will figure some more out next couple of rides..I have buddy's with 2 identical 163's to use as measuring sticks..(we have already ran them back to back with each taking a stab on the same hills to guage stock performance of each sled..)

Is there much of a difference(in performance) between the three pros you ride with?

I think I will leave the 10/62 in for a while and see how they perform in different snow condition.

I am cautious about clutch changes..... so many times you chase around trying to get more out of the sled and later realize you really didn't.

2 of them came from the same dealer(consecutive vin #'s) both came with 10-68's...1 came from another dealer 110 miles away, it has 10-66's, on a good hill we swapped back and forth, all 3 hit the same spot with the same rider on it time and again,,so pretty equal, the 66er wheelied more on that ride(dealer set up I am sure)he has since adjusted the rear shock to keep the frt down better..all pulled between 7950-8200, with the 66er pulling the higher r's...(should with lighter weights), and you are right...you really have to have a benchmark too compare to..i normally when i find something that I like will take the stock setup along and swap to stock right on the hill to verify that what i have is working better...

Try to find a company that did dyno testing on your engine and look at the HP/torque curve.
that is only limited help, since a dyno cant build pipe heat the way a sled does on a good climb..it gives you an idea but I always find out on the hill the sled wants more r's then it showed on a dyno...

I'm seeing this too. Makes me wonder how accurate the gauge is! Doo's rpm gauges ALWAYS read about 150 rpm's too high and I'm thinking Poo's are doing the same!

Have FUN!
