What is a fair price range for a 2007 Ski Doo Summit X w/ 500-1000miles?

I've been trying to sell my 07 x 159 for $5000 obo for 2 years now and no luck. 950 original miles and new motor at 550-600 miles. oh well

Good luck with trying to sell what you have.

If you can find one with an 08 motor, I think it's the best deal in the used (or new) sled market right now. They still have not come out with an 800 class mountain sled that's signifigantly better and more fun to ride IMO.

Same goes with an 07 motor.....I would just want it for less coin given the risk factor. Either way, I think they're an awesome deal. I had the money set aside to buy a new sled all last year, and everytime I rode the old 07 I came home wondering why I would waste it on upgrading to something that can't outperform it.

Are you selling or buying?? If buying, I'd pass on the 07, as a lot of peeps here have said, major motor issues. A better choice would be a clean 06, set up correctly, it would run as good or better than the 07. The price will be 1000 - 2000 cheaper and you can upgrade it with mods. Or even better an 08 XP, prices are very low since there were many deals for 09's at $7500, so for an 08, you should be able to pick one up at the same price as a 07, and it is technolgically & performance-wise a much better machine. Either 06 or 08, pass on the 07 is my advice.

p.s...... I have had these years models in the 800 & Rode the 07 alot.

4 07 xrs's in our group.......

1 blown engine at 2300 miles and 3 still running strong pushing 2k on them

I sold mine for $5500 in Feb of this year. After selling that one, I think you would have a hard time selling one for $6500 or 7000

I'm talking about US $$ in particular. Is there any major fixes that should have been done to the 2007 Summit X's I should be asking about when looking to buy this kind of sled?

Just check the runout on the crank and if it is under 3 thousands than it is a keeper. Preferably you want it 2 thousands or less. If the runout is more than that ski-doo should give you a new engine if it is still under warranty, otherwise you will have a world of problems if the runout is higher.

I've been looking at one as well, and the crank issue is all people talk about. I know we do not have a crystal ball but would one with 1,200 -1,400 miles be clear of crank issues, asking $4,800. Thoughts

I guess it depends where you are located and how much jing you have, In the swap meet there are some super nice 09's X's for 7200-8500ish.
