what gearing?

i have an 04 800. it has 10t extrovers with a 151x16x2 track. i currently have an 18 top with a 44 bottom. kinda an odd set up, and i was wanting to try out a 45 bottom cause i ride in the high elevations and rarley need that high track speed for the trails. good idea?

I run the same track and drivers and 19/45 and it is spot on for mountain riding. That is stock gearing for 151 Summits

You are geared about the same ratio as a 163 summit with 20:49

stock summit xp 163 = 21:49 @ 2.33
One tooth lower, 20:49 = 2.45
18:44 = 2.44
19:45 = 2.36

Personally Im a little leery of a 18 top gear. I have broken a tooth off of an 18 top gear when landing off a drift at full throttle.

Since you have 10 tooth drives, I'd go down to a 46 or even a 47 on the bottom.

If you want more power out of the hole, then figure for a lower top speed. This is a great way to help you get close without buying too many sprockets.

Going with a 45 from a 44 tooth bottom wouldn't make enough of a difference to make it worthwhile to change.
