What gas for SLP head at 2000ft

Just wondering if anyone knows if 91 will still work on an SLP head for an 07 800r when riding at 2000ft. I am pretty sure the head is there 6-8k one. Im thinking I may need to run some race gas to keep from detonating.

If you are running a 6-8k head which is likely a 14:1 or somewhere in there on compression at 2,000ft.
You will definitely need some octane. Thinking at least 100.

You would probably be best to call SLP and ask them directly though.

throw a EGT gauge in it and find out the correct way!

Unfortunately, an EGT isn't the ticket to figuring out fuel requirement for a given engine/cr/timing variance. On my 800R with +2* timing, unable to run even a 12.5:1 head @ 2000' on premium pump without det sensor going off. if you are running thier 6-9000' head @ 2000', I'd probably suggest 50/50 pump/100ll to be safe as a starting point. If the octane level is excessive, your engine should tell you thru lower than normal power levels/rich feeling. Cheaper route than letting your engine tell you thru a deto'd piston/cyl...
