What does this bolt secure?

What does this bolt secure?

My nephew noticed it was loose on his 09 D8, He put a socket on it and it just spins.
I'm too used to the 06 700 to be able to decipher what it goes to from his pictures.
Any help or input would be appreciated.

IIRC that should be one of the steering rack bolts.

I went all thru the Polaris Parts Fiche and couldnt see a diagram of where that was.

Can he access the other side by getting a wrench in thru where the steering boots are?

look under the sled, should be a 1"+ hole on each side of the bulkhead and a nut up inside it..socket on each side and tighten away..
