What do you miss about old sleding movies?

I have to say my all time favorite video to this day is still the first redneck furry. That movie had a little bit of everything including a story line, all types of riding, and is just fun to watch. I think the story line is what brings it to life.

The thing i liked about the older movies was that every thing was relatively new as far as the climbs, jumps and what not . It was more thrilling to see that stuff . A lot of sledders had never seen much of it, so it way more exciting to watch. Now there are so many climbing ,so many things it's old hat to watch it, as well the jumping and tail whips. Now there are so many people doing it. It becomes pretty normal to see and you can see it any where, not just from the few that use to do it. Seeing something for the first time or two is awsome watching it repeatedy gets old. How many movies are there now? Any one know? How many more movies can be made in McCall? Revy? with out looking like the same old thing? With the turbo sleds 2 and 4 strokes there pretty much going up any thing there is. Lets face it a tail whip is a tail whip. Where do movies go from here? Don't get me wrong i love the movies, and i use to buy a bunch of them. I don't any longer it's just not that fun to watch any more.

For me, i want to be impressed by the riders, the sleds, the terrain, the mix of action along with good tunes, and i also want to see something new, laugh a little, and every once in a while i want to see something that just makes me go WOW! Ohh my god! How lucky is he!

I also don't want to see 50 different riders all with 40 seconds of time, i want to see mostly one riding group.

On top of all that, i like seeing new angles on jumps and just random stuff

One thing I've only seen in 1 video so far that I really liked was a quick little interview with the rider going over their sled and mods--it gives the people at home a little more insight to what the person has to ride on the hill. Plus you then know if its a pin-it-and-hold-on sled or if the rider is doing all that crazy sh!t on a stock sled.

I really like the Elevation series by Team Summit, those guys are talented and really genuine people who just love to get on the snow.

I think for my it's relateability. As soon as i see a ramp in a video i turn it off. I am never going to hit a ramp and could care less to see anyone doing that. I live in the U.P. where alot of powder riding is done. How about a movie filmed up here? nothing extreme just a look into what might be a normal weekend of riding with the boys. My favorite video of all time is powerbound 4. There is a segment of helmet cam video that is about 4 minutes long that is just a normal guy on a stock RMK riding around a tree filled medow. It drew me in immediately because i could imagine myself doing that......enough crazy helicopter stuff. Make a video of normal guys doing normal stuff

the riding, and the sleds.

i remember in like 2SCS 3 when they were just jumping off trees bent over from the snow.

and BJ Murray on his MM 700 :)

i miss the feeling that i could go out there and hang with them..unlike the videos now, where there is no chance in hell i could do some of the things they do. (granted..it is very impressive..i'm just jealous :D )

I tried the tree thing last year after rewatching that movie and it ended with a bar pad in the neck and a 650 pound rmk on top of me, ohh and a broken front bumper (thanks polaris, a plastic front bumper sure was a great idea:o)

I liked the crazy **** they did on like 1996 XLT mods and like 1998 xcr's, now 2scs 3 is an epic movie!

So you guys would all be interested in a 30-45 min movie filmed by amateurs, for amateurs? At least you can show it to a friend and be like, see that dumb *** that wrecked on that really easy jump? Yeah i talked to him on the internet, total poser! lol :D:beer;

Ohh and one of the random things we will have in the movie involves a silver golf cart with 4 wheeler wheels/tires, black SS stripes, and it is equipped with an air horn, pro-taper bars, tow rope, seat belts, wheelie bar, and a snowmobile engine….
