Curious what gear people haul while riding in the mountains. Trying to build a good list for when I go out this season. Any ideas would be great.

AVALANCH GEAR on your body not the seld I like making my own tool kit to fix chain case if needed and enough tools to pull a skid out of a sled saw and lots of water

Here's a couple things to get you started.

Shovel
Hard warmers (small air activated)
Headlamp (x-batteries)
Waterproof matches
Lighters (vacuum pack 1)
Flint/Magnesium fire starter
Space blanket
GPS (x-batteries)
Cell phone

Compass
Camera
Food/Snacks/Water
Pencil/Paper
Knife/leatherman
Saw
Tow rope
Muff pot (hot dogger)
Tool bag
Bailing wire
Zip ties

Duct Tape (small roll)
Toilet paper (small roll)
Light sticks (glow type)

Pencil Flares
Laser/Strobe locator
Whistle
Electrical Tape (small roll)
Candle (heat/light/cooking)
Tampon (fire starter when dipped in gas tank by handy string)
Survey Tape (marking tape)
Zip lock bags (keep gear dry)
Tylenol/asprin/etc.

Vacuum pack some equipment to keep dry

Tool kit with the following:
multi-bit screw driver
needle nose pliers
crescent wrench
couple of combination end wrenches (sized for bolts on sled)
vise grips
