What clutch kit?

sled has 1200 miles on it, clutch has never been touched. 2004 REV 800HO higmark extreme

hill climbing I could get it to hit 8000 if I hit the bottom and climbed all the way to the top without letting off, but if i let off anywhere along the way then got back on it it wouldn't go anywhere above about ~7600


guys I was with figured it needed cleaned and could use some new springs and stuff in the clutch. Is there a kit available and who has the best price on it? going to stay near stock for the season, all except I have a SLP can on it. (instructions said no clutch changes required)
 
When you read (no clutch changes required) that means the addition of the exhaust part will not change the rated rpms of the engine. If you don't change the rated rpms of the engine, then there is no clutch recalibration needed for the use of that part.

If on the other hand you installed a pipe or pipes that changed the rated rpm of the engine, then yes, you would have to recalibrate something...and the first something is usually flyweight.
 
haha I was afraid you would respond. I better go read your guides haha....

so spring replacement and weights and such only need to be replaced when your you make RPM related changes?

any ideas on what is causing my rev problems while climbing or should I just clean it and see if the problem is solved? it was a noticable decrease in peak RPM's when i let off halfway up the hill then got back on it.

Run a higher clicker number to help rpms recover.
Prepare to change a 1/2 gram of pinweight to get the 8000 again.
or
Take primary spring final force and raise it 30 lbs.
example, say you had a 160/230 then can try a 160/260.
