What changed at POLARIS to put them back on top?

Doesn't this same junk in every thread get boring?

I think it's pretty simple what shot Polaris back up the popularity food-chain. People wanted a mountain-specific sled that was lightweight from the factory, and had enough of what you needed and not much of what you didn't. It's comfortable (for stand up riding), it floats well, and it allows average riders to do moves that were traditionally reserved for experienced riders. Will it hold the "top spot" forever? Of course not! But it definitely established a new baseline for user-friendly mountain sleds that do what they say they'll do....

To be on top is easy, much like getting a married woman to sleep with you. You only have to appear to be better / more exciting than the one they are currently riding. Which with the sleds Cat, Doo, and Yam have been putting out the last few years is an easy sell. Cat is obese, Doo is all gimmicks and marketing, Yammi has always been somewhat gay, even the old IQ is not very attractive compared to the lightweight PRO and it's styling. It is Not too hard to see why she would rather saddle up to the Polaris PRO instead. It / you will take her places she has only fantasized about.

Boy thats a tough one, but I will give it a run. They build a super light mountain sled. Yep, that about sums it up.

I thought Ski-Doo was on top for 2013. It's funny the way Polaris guys talk about their sleds cuz this year, the Polaris guys I rode with were calling my 2013 XM the 'Cadillac' and their '13 Pro 800 RMK the 'Ford'

I don't know your friends, I think they were playing you. Here is my take; personally I would not consider "Cadillac" a word of superiority in the off road segment. More like a geriatric comfy couch to view the "Fords" getting the job done, while you sit comfortably at the bottom.

But that is just my opinion, on a side note, Skidoo would be my second choice in sleds, Cat third, and the Yammi never.

Put the crack pipe down

What changes did they make that enabled them to go from the dissapointments of 2005 to being back on top of the industry?

New engineers? New management? Anyone know?

Dude speak for yourself..my 05 was never a dissappointment
especially when compared to everything else offered in 05 - 10 !

Po

You know it's funny, dealership guy at last show I was at thought the perfect combo was a Suzk engine and the Pol chassis. And he was a polaris dealer. Go figure.

I'm pretty sure there's a lot of people that agree with that (including myself). There's no denying the suzuki 800 is an awesome motor.

I found out what put Polaris at the top...

Next time you have a crap just have a peek and see whats floating on the top..

so it seems to be a law of nature...???
