What can works well on a 08 XP?

HPS can for me...keep in mind it is not about HP gain. A can is really only weight savings and a different sound. As far as the sway bar...chuck it if you are a mtn rider.

My 163" handles fine on the trails without the sway bar. Don't waste your money on the quick disconnects. Take it completely off!

i worked with cpi's single and can last year (801-829-5877)...what i found...i lost 14.5 lbs.....gained 11.5 hp, dyno at 5000'.....with same clutching would consistently beat stock sled, or stock sled with any other silencer or pipe...cpi has always been able to trick up the rotax's better than any other...and his double can sounds especially fine...oh yeah, i don't work for them or have any gain from this post

Cerma-Coating and EIX plugs

The can decision has already been made, i hope i am happy with it! What about pipes? I have been told that ceramic coatings are Good and Bad, Good that they keep heat in the pipe and away from engine and bad that they comprimise the integrity of the pipe and mess with the Harmonics, is there anyone out there that has had a performance coating done to their pipe(stock or custom ) and regretted it later?

The iridium plugs give a hotter spark that will, and I do say WILL, help the engine perform at its best. I run them in my Yamaha banshee and my sled.

As for Cerma-coatings... good on pipe and can, I personally think it isnt so great on the Y-pipe. Why?? you ask, well the purpose of the coating is to keep heat in and every time I run a Y-pipe that is coated it cracks from the inside out from excessive heat build up, the coating will not allow the y-pipe to properly dissapate the heat, so it comprimises the joints in the Y-pipe. Whew.... did it explain it clearly? I hope so.
Good luck, cheers. :D:beer;

I just bought a thing can, sounds like it's the best can for high elevations. Does this make Turbo Al my daddy?

As far as the sway bar, take it off. You won't miss it on the trail. And what is a trail anyway? It's where you drive out of the lot with your XP to go where all the other sleds can't.

I'm just kidding people, sort of, for the most part.

Thats easy enough! What about the sway bars? I am not sold on the idea of removing them.

I wasn't at first either, until I tried it. Just two bolts to undo the small plastic link bars. Let the aluminum tabs just hang down.

Crank up the front springs a couple of clicks and you'll love it.

Seams to corner alot better on the trail up to the alpine as well.

If you don't like it, just bolt the small linkage bars back on. Small enought to fit in your pocket while riding.

I agree The sled does fine on the trail without the swaybars on. I think its much more muneverable without them on. Ive taken some really rutted out trails fast and was still in complete control. More or less a riding preference.I 'll get rid of my quick disconnects for $50 if anyone wants the option.
