And with what options?

I'm checking a pro 163

Here are my conundrums:

Track:
2.6 or 3?

This is a big question to a lot of people I think. I probably don't have the use for a 3", and would be happier on a 2.6. Also with a chain case on the 3, I'm now leaning toward 2.6 even though originally I was sold on the 3.

Bars:
What height? I currently ride an edge with 5.5 inch risers and am accustomed to the height and like it. I jumped on my dad's IQ with stock bars last weekend and HATED how low they were. That being said, I'm only 5'-11". Will the high rise bars be too high?

Bumpers:
I plan on buying front and rear bumpers, but the question is, should I buy the ones that are available as a dealer accessory, or wait and buy aftermarket?

Storage:
As far as I know there is zero place to put anything without buying a bag of sorts for this sled. What bag to go with? Is there a way to know how big they are? I normally carry some light lunch type stuff, a quart sized water thermos, along with some fire starting material, matches, etc. and a tow rope. Would the small tunnel bag fit my needs? I like the dash bag as it takes weight off the tunnel; would I be better off with this?

Shocks:
Some say the clickers are worth the upgrade and some say don't waste your money. I will ride it with the shocks that are on it (Whatever that may be). I don't have money to spend on upgrading shocks, or anything for that matter. I've never ridden with anything but standard shocks, but should I spring for the clickers or stay with the monotubes?

I think that's about it but I'm sure I'll have more questions as I progress:juggle:

155/163 2.6" here. I might make the jump to 163 this year. No chain case for me and I'm buying the stories about the 2.6" being the best all around track and don't want the issues with the 3".

Clicker shocks for me and I'd like the Burandt bag and dash bag. Not sure if they are cheaper during snow check or if I perhaps I just buy them from my dealer who does a discount for me. Anyone see any details on the bags other than some pics?

Bar! Yes, someone please clarify the heights. Is the middle height similar to what the standard Pro Tapers have been in the past? It would be nice to have something to compare to. Notice that the bars don't have any pads in the pictures?

New gauge. Not sure if I will do $700 on a new gauge. It's super cool for sure. I like that you can see text messages on it and that it has a cool interactive gauge for sled vitals. The GPS is a nice touch but I already have a Rino 650 so I really don't need it. I would pay $350 for the interactive display minus the GPS.

I hope to see the sneak peak show that usually comes to Denver. I'd really like to see the colors in person and check out other options.

Being i ride at home alot.

I looking through the options and I clicked on more info on the handlebars, it says the high bars are 7"tall, the mid rise is 6", and the low bars are 5". I'm pretty sure the old protapers were a 7" rise, so that would be the tall option. And all of the new bars are 1"narrower

Pro 155 Orange w/black tunnel/rails. Mid black shield, tall bars, clickers. I can't give them my money fast enough!:face-icon-small-ton

SKS is the better sled for where I ride but 408 lbs and the QD trumps the front cooler option. Scratchers are cheap......

They discuss bar heights in the podcast. I believe they said the mid was the same height as the previous pro.

Shouldn't the distance between the bars and boards remain the same. I thought they said they raised the suspension points to get the increased ground clearance.

One more question. Do we really have to buy the scratchers separate? I kinda thought with the pro cooling system, not having scratchers would be like not having handlebars. Correct me if I'm wrong

The pictures I've seen show scratchers. I think that is just another option if you wanted to buy another set or perhaps certain models don't come with them. I'd be very surprised if they didn't come with them, especially the 3" track models.

Someone asked that question on the Axys Chat on facebook the other night, they said the Pros come equipped with scratchers and the SKS comes with the extra bogies.

What's everybody ordering for bags? Specifically tunnel bags. How are we to know how big a "large" or "small" bag is?

Black w/orange tunnel and rails. 163 w/2.6 (def want the QD) tall bars, electric start and clickers. It's ordered. Hopefully I don't wreck my 14 Pro out at Togwotee this week, because it's traded off. Can't wait for next winter!!!
