I can tell you that I am glad that I ordered the 2.6- In the snow conditions that we rode in this weekend the 3" did push the sled around and want to go in the direction the track was pointed not the skis... I know that in the Dec/ Jan Powder the 3" will be better- but all around the 2.6 is the track of my choice- and who wants to gamble on over the hood powder / we only has 2 weeks of that here in Wyoming... Going up Thursday to ride again- hope to hook up with them ..... JMHO
