Headed out tomorrow to either eastern Oregon or western Idaho and wondering what conditions you guys have been seeing? Hoping to not run into any rain? If not, is it raining up high? Any info on these areas would be great! Also help with good snow parks in Idaho not very familiar with this area! This site is awesome thanks you guys!

Been snowing off and on in McCall since Sunday, waiting for the sun to come up so I can check the snow boxes at Brundage. If you are coming though Boise you will see plenty of rain.

Well above freezing in McCall for the next week or so. 38 - 45 degrees predicted. Will be decent heavy snow up high with sloppy rainy conditions at lower elevations. Needs to be 15 to 20 degrees colder for there to be great snow.

Thanks for the info. We are from Oregon and it hasn't snowed here for months. Any conditions is better than no conditions. Our mountain passes are bare. Was just hoping to not hit rain. Any ideas on where good snowpacks are? Thanks!

Advice on snow parks? Never been to this area!

Any help is greatly appreciated we are riding tomorrow and need somewhere to park the trucks. Thanks guys.

Best snow report for the McCall area

The best place to go for the snow report is http://www.payetteavalanche.org The avalanche report gives an honest report of the snow conditions and where they are finding good snow. You can also check the grooming report at www.secesh.net/Groomer to find out what has been groomed most recently. This works on smart phones. I hope you find great snow and enjoy your stay. It was looking pretty beak around Diamond Lake around Christmas.

Very true. We get spoiled with great snow most of the time around here, but this year is much different for some reason. There was GREAT snow the last part of December though, and more than likely great snow to be had here in a week or so. Until then, the sled stays in the garage =(

If you go on farther north of McCall, it should be better than in the McCall area. Happy Riding!!

McCall or Halfway

Heading to Oregon or Idaho on the 11th or 12th for four days of riding. Which area is better or has the best snow? I might do both if I can pull it off, but with the recent warm storms I was wondering which area might provide the best fun factor and snow. Any input would be great. Thanks

How much snow

any pics of McCall right now? Heading over in a week doesn't have to be over the hood pow just want coverage if not there we will head farther east any info would be awesome...would be nice to ride with someone that wants to give a tour of the good areas too :)

Yeah sorry didn't get back on here tell today. Parking lot was 45 degrees when i unloaded. Buy the time you got to 7000 feet there was a lot of snow pack still and some fresh snow but it was wet. Only road on friday. The avalanche forecast said it rained up to about 7000 feet Friday night.

Meathooker, that looks like straight cement! I was out Wed, day before you, it was actually pretty decent but by end of day we knew it was going to be heavy and wet the next day, or ice if it got cold.
Raining in McCall/Donnelly now.
