Last season was my first in Utah and rode around the Stawberry area. Need to hook up with some of you utah guys and start learning this area.

Hey Jeff, where did you ride before? In other words: Flatlander, Ditchbanger or Mountain terrain? What state?

WE NEED SNOW, i'm going crazy, i'm getting sick of deer hunting:eek:. I keep a little blog in my phone of all my rides. I write the location, altitude, RPM's sled was running, snowdepth, and powder depth. I was just looking through them cause i forgot when we started last year

Last year my first ride says.. " December 3rd, Farmington to the South, 3 Feet of powder, no base at all, have to stay on trails, dragon tached 7950 busting the roads, 8300 FT.

Second entry reads " December 8, Mirror lake/Baldy, 6-7 Ft, of pow, no base at all, dragon tached 7700 in the deepest powder i've ever road, 10000"

I am not gonna have to wait till December 3rd this year? was that a late start last year?

Hey Mak:
Last year was the worst Dec. I recall. We've had our cabin 8 years now and usually can ride the trails on Thanksgiving. My first ride last year was New Years Eve day to Elizabeth. I guess I could have trailered to higher elev. but don't like to start the season with bent parts, so I wait. However, the worst Dec. went to the most snow accumulated we have seen thus far. By far my best winter last year, even if it was a slow start. COME ON SNOW!!!!!!!!!;)

I had 5 rides up there before New years and they all were deep pow:rolleyes: but that was up high off the highway. We go up for 5 days over new years and usually you can ride all the lower draws up to the warming hut and stuff that time of year, last year it seams like that willow stuff was sticking up in all those meddows on the sides of the road on new years, but i couldn't remember for sure, thanks man, lets hope for early and deep, and most importantly, long..

I saw the most incredible slide on Double hill the day after new years day, unreal, slid right to dirt. luckily the 2 dragons that were playing on it moved on about 10 minutes before the slide, i think just the sun breaking through the clouds and a little of settling caused it, but it was amazing

I was living in Colorado before I moved to SLC.

I rode either Rabbit Ears or the north side of the Flat Tops outside Meeker, CO mostly. I really like the Meeker area but I grew up there so I may be biased. I have been going on vacation with a small group of guys to the Island Park area or Togwotee area for the past 13 years. I like boondocking and a little hill climbing.

I hate the thought of a yard sale down the side of the mountain but my sled has enough bent an broken parts that you would think it's rolled off a couple of cornices.

When someone's stuck I'm always ready to help with a shovel, snobunge or a lift.

We take a lot of time of during those weeks too. If I remember right, we lost 2 snowmobilers last year. 1 on Christmas Day and another on New years eve day. That's why it's so important now to get as much moisture in the ground as we can. Rain or snow, bring it on. I was in 2 avy's last year. Poor sled had a rough year before I finished her off on you.:face-icon-small-ton Anyway we have some fun people that come up every year and rent cabins for the Holidays. We'll have to hook up and show everyone a good ride. We found a ton untouched areas last year. Thought I might keep it a secret but I like seeing people smile:D. So I'll share some but not all.

That cornice is in Slednecks 7 maybe its 8. Anyway, Aaron and I showed that to Chris Burant, Alford and the gang one morning. They turned around and told us to get out of the shot. way! out of the shot! Four years ago we could ride that stuff up to a week after a storm and there would be zero tracks anywhere near that cornice.

Thats the last time I will ever show anyone a spot like that again! Especially a gang of pro riders with movie cameras!

Last year we found 3-4 more of those type of ridges/bowls just a couple miles from that one that no sled has ever been on. I cant wait to hit them on the right day this year!!!!!!

Oh hatchers you gotta show me! Superbowl has some fun ones too ACMTCat, and has you go west from the head of the bowl the cornice gets bigger and bigger so its fun and there is drops for any skill level rider. I hope double hill's gets big this year, for some reason last year the lip didn't get to big, you had to hit it a decent rolling speed to get any decent jump out of it.

SNOW DAMMIT!!! I'm kind of a sled whore I guess...... I'll ride anytime, anywhere, with almost anybody! Unfortunately, I often get stuck riding with Kevco and some of his cronies! ;) (j/k brada!.....that's for the pig mits comment you made earlier)

well look who decided to show up!!! welcome to the party! neighbor!!!

AcMtnCat - sorry dude, the XP is still top dawg in regard to stock sleds....not fair to compait a mod to a stock sled. And the stock M8 is still a turd, not so much with the M1000....the only reason i got a M8 is cus the turbo kit is somewhat flawless for the most part and everyone seems to love.

Mak Rev - sold the powder pros, got some white USI shoes on the way and other stuff to make it look pretty, sure wish i could find someone to trade me my black hood for a white one...hint hint anyone:beer;

ray,
i rode that sled last year down at the fairview shootout
hang on tight when you take it out this year!!!

Does anyone know this "Sunridge" guy. Who the heck is he some alter ego no doubt. Probably one of these guys ( there are so many lately ) who use horsepower to compensate for skill. Im on the floor right now just call me DUB!

Fav line in a sled movie of all time is isn Dockers V "Did you run out of H.P. or skill?" I cant wait to use that this year!

Rode from farmington to bountiful tonight. Dusty, alot of road hunters... Did see a 12 year old kid shoot his ttr90 off skyline drive, scarry moment, had to help get it back up on the road. Also almost got ran over by a GUY on a ktm that had a black klim coat on, was that anyone on here?

Seeing all these pictures of Snow and the Chance of SNOW :D this weekend. I am ready to RIDE!!!!! I have rode Bear River, Tower, Monte and Strawberry.

Let's start doing those snow dances.
