What 2 Wheel Kit

I am just about to put on a 2 wheel kit on my "159 Vertical Escape..i see both SLP and MMP have a so called 2 Wheel Kit (slp) and a Conversion Axle(mmp)..dont know of any others...are there any other brands that have better quality or price..or what of theese two will you recommend for me?

not on a stock rail...

People Have done it.. but this puts too much stress on the axle and wheel as the track is held off the hyfax in the rear and the axle, rather than the rail/hyfax, bear the loads of impact from riding.

I'm running a Holz with no issues for 2 seasons. Stock edge RMK wheels. I removed every wheel in the skid and run ice scratchers all the time.

With stock wheels you can cut,drill and tap the stock shaft. Its free if you own taps.

Ive been using the MMP fredom axel for four years now and am very happy with it.

Does anyone have a good advice on how to get the stock track tension adjuster off the rail?,i want to move it to the inside of the rail,but it is not mounted with a normal screw..Looks like being a big steel rivet or something like that

The axle that actually was on my sled didnt look like the stock ones does...it looked like a freedom axle but it was marked with HLP on both sides..anyone know of a brand named HLP??

Take the skid out... Take the rails off and install them on the opposite side... MAGIC.... they are now on the inside!!

Here`s some pics of my axle...do you guys know what axle this is??...my friend said he belived it was a old mmp freedom axle but it do look totally different.

On the newer MMP kits you will get a new track tensioner to put on. I placed mine on the inside. I drilled the steel rivets out. Be shure that you get a good senter punch before you start. Bolt it back together on the inside.

The axle was actually a old hi performance engineering axle.

I drilled the rivvets out and bolted them on the inside with the supplied hardware from holz. I love holz. Noone i know that has ever bought a product from them has ever been distaisfied or had to do any extra work that was not layed out step by step in the instructions. I even did mine in my inclosed full of sleds in an hr or two.
