Wet Left Boot on REV (HMK Boots)

I have about 2400 miles on my hmk pro boa's now..feet get real damp in deep snow..I ended up just wearing my gortex socks..no more wet/damp feet and these boots wet or dry have always been warm even down to -30 riding....

I was thinking this would be a good temp fix for now.

I have a pair of Cabela's Goretex hunting boots I have been using as back-ups. But after a couple or early rides (when the snow was shallow) the support of the HMK's and the way the boots just held to the sled I would rather have those, no comparison. I guess I don't look at them as trendy, but to each his own:beer;

Cabelas also sells a Gore-Tex sock that will keep you dry in any boot.

same problem here i wear old klim radium love them super support my rev makes them leak too adding some venting on the back side helped a little i dont want the klim radium gtx way too heavy. the other klims are gortex too and they dont leak for now!! wait till they wear a little. i nowwear seal skins water proof socks about three rides so time will tell i am liking the silicon idea to divert the water which is the problem, also there is a ton of heat comming of that clutch which makes your feet sweat and if you have waterproof sock on this does not allow the sweat to wick. I would love to build a water dam or redirector.

Just got back from there on lunch and picked up a pair to try. we will see what happens. I have 2 big trips planned for the next 2 weeks and after that we will look into this more.

I always had a wet left foot with my ski-doo boots so i bought klim, no more wet feet.

What about making evestroughs for the panels. Rivet a bent piece of metal angling away from the sled.

After 4 days of great riding in the UP with over 40" of snow and wet boots every day I'm done with HMK. I'm sure I could adjust the sled to make them work But I'm not going to. I did try the waterproof socks and they kept my feet dry but I could dump out the water in my left boot after Thursday ride.

Also I had a snap pullout on my new HMK action pants and some sticking come apart on my HMK gloves. I'm sure they would repair warrenty all this, but wants the point if you have to send this stuff back and wait 3 weeks and pay the shipping. It's too bad because I love the design and function of all their stuff.

Klim...Here I come!

Goretex socks in HMK. Both feet got wet prior to wearing them Boots get soaked but feet are toasty warm and dry. Love the stiffness and durability of the HMK. Kick the daylights out of them and still look "almost" new. Be careful if you get goretex socks. Try them on in the store with your socks on you'll be wearing. A little tough to get on but it's worth it. usually have to go up a size or two.

Those of you with Klims do your feet stay warm? I ride with 3 guys who have Klims and they all complain of cold feet, dry, but cold. On the other hand my left foot always gets wet, but it's warm.

I got a pair of HMK Pro Boas even after reading this thread, just because I like the fit and the tightness of the fit. First day was yesterday and best boots I've ever worn for it being the first day snow boots or dirt boots. But I do ride a REV and sure as s**t I poured water out of my left boot after the ride. My foot never got cold, but it was headed that way I would hate to spend the night outside.

So what is the solution a bead of silicone across the side panel.

man im having same problem left boot gets wet i also have the old radium but i had never had a problem with them getting wet tell last week i dont know why??? but by the end of the day i had like 1/4 of a cup of water in my left boot while the right on was still relativly dry

The only thing is that I had a pair of VAN snowboard boots before and I never had this problem, other than they got old and started to leak on the soles. Now a brand new pair and they're terrible. Also I broke the boa cable guides on my right boot anyone know how hard those are to replace.

the scorching heat from the doo clutches is hard to eliminate. i have the wet left foot also. my new castle boots just suck the worst! the quality is poor too, i do not recommend these boots to anyone. soaking wet feet! i have heard many good things about the klim adrenaline's.
