West Yellowstone snow conditions

1st time to west yellowstone, where is a good place to stay where you can just ride out of and trailer to. We are going to be there the same time.

I have always stayed at the Kelly Inn. Been out there 5 times and enjoyed the hospitality.

We've been staying at the Brook Trout Inn all week, and so far we've been to both the upper and lower Lion's Head areas, Cabin Creek up to the cabin and around and back out, and today was Teepee Creek area. Fresh powder is pretty much gone, even if you're fairly brave. Cold enough that the trails are staying good after they groom. Even WAY off the beaten path, the snow is pretty much all tracked up. Best untracked was on the slope north of the FS cabin. (I forget what that ridge is called...) Rocks are out there.... I got one up by the weather station near Lion's Head... There's a great base, but the forecast keeps showing a yellow sunshine instead of the snow flakes.

I saw this am it was 26 below zero in West...Yikes!

did some riding south today and found some good snow and tree lines where people haven't been. then a buddy blew up his diamond drive.. anyone have a spare? lol
