Went Riding with the Wolves today. Take a look at the picture

Any time we see fresh tracks we follow them and shoot them if found.
They are a varmint out here. There are too many around.

They have even stalked people and kids in villages.
People went armed around the villages and escorting the kids to school.
Dogs tied up on porches to protect them have been killed.

Wolves have gone on killing spress on moose and caribou.
They would not even eat anything from the kills.

I think I would rather be the hunter than the hunted. Nice rib on the "wolves on ATV's line" I have heard they won't bother / hunt you, but I don't think I would want to find out.

A buddy of mine lives close to the hills here. He had two wolves come onto his 5 acres and tear up two of his goats. I suppose it is his fault for leaving the goats out on his property, over night. I just hope he never lets his kids play outside at night. By the way the wolves didn't eat any of the goats. They just killed em. For the locals in Idaho this happened in Horseshoe Bend. When he called the fish and game to see what he could do. They informed him that if the wolves were on his property threating family or livestock he could shoot them only after firing a warning shot. He hasn't had to shoot one yet but i do believe that there has been a couple warnig shots followed by call to the fish and game. They continue to deny their existence that close to town.

My cousin in law and his dad were cornered by about 5 up deer hunting this last fall. Only after firing shots to scare them away did they leave. Yelling and throwing things did not work.

You better believe that they are not afraid of us.
Warning shot right between the eyes of the Alpha male.

The reintroduction of wolves has done exactly what everyone, except the experts, expected. The are becoming grossly overpopulated and destroying herds of deer and elk.

Unfortunately, just like in Yellowstone, they will NEVER admit their mistake. They just keep trying to play god and by doing so they are only making things worse.

The enviro freaks have gotten thousands of acres in the priest lake area closed to save the caribou (locally known as the unicorn) just in time for the wolves to flourish and destroy everything.

So the Idaho game laws say that south of I-90 you can shoot them if they're killing your livestock or pets on your own land. Hmmm, that's real generous but I guess if you happen to be North of I-90 they can come on your porch and eat your dog while you watch but don't try and "shoo them away" cuz then you'll be guilty of harrassing an endangered species:confused:

I forget now, was that warning shot supossed to be before or after you fire for effect?

It was after. As last right as you shovel the last bit of dirt in the hole :D

great post

Stay out of their way, they will stay out of yours.

Are we supposed to stay in the house all day? At Christmas, my uncle showed me some pictures from his trail camera that was less than a hundred yards from his house. There were several mountain lion pictures, and one of the photos had 3 lions eating a deer, with another standing right by the camera waiting for his turn. The camera also caught a pack of wolves. There were only 3 or 4 that showed in the picture, but there could have been more. These pictures were taken about an hour north of Minneapolis MN. Definitely not unspoiled wilderness! Last year I talked to a guy that lived by Marquette Michigan. He said that his neighbors had just chased 4 wolves out the garage that were trying to eat the kids' pet rabbits. As the populations of these big predators grow, they infringe on humans more and more. Are we all supposed to move to the urban core so the wolves are happy?

well i went about 3 miles up the trail today and came around a corner to find wolve tracks all over the road in the fresh snow from last night and there was blood everywere! so we got off and started looking around and found a deer over the hill leaning against a tree with the guts hanging out of it so we were going to cut its throat to put her out of her missery and it took off down the the hill with its guts bouncing off the ground! stupid wolves!
when we came back down we could see they walked across our tracks from earlier.
this is the kind of thing that makes me mad.
