Well,,, it's started,,,4 stroke Ski Doo

You wait, all those die hard Doo guys will be singing praises for 4 strokes once they get that motor refined. A lot of those guys will be eating crow ! I guess they will get to hear about it for a long time LOL !

Great so now you get to replace cams, valves & pistons makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

iam guessing that motor is not light though 1200cc to make the same power as the 1050.lets hear the pig comments start now.:D:D

That REV-XR is nothing with out a turbo
Stock for stock that sled is crap
The XR is nothing but a point and shoot sled
Its too heavy to ride

Ha all these doo boys can eat there own words!!!!!

I see they are debuting this new engine in 2 flatlander sleds. Might not see it in a mountain sled for awhile. Wonder when that will be since they think their 2 smokes are the cats ***. Can't see them offering 2 and 4 strokes side by side in the mountain market.

I am happy to see it, though it looks like the engine has some serious vibes as there looks to be 2 balance shafts, and it has a big vib reducer on the pto end.

I say welcome to the party...

There is probably a little more engineering involved in making a four stroke engine than a two stroke right? So if do cant make a reliable 2 stroke, what is their 4 stroke going to be like???

Cant say Im going to be another test dummy for Doo. Especially on something with double the number of moving parts!

This will be interesting to see how it plays out. I think they made the right move putting them in trail sleds only for the first year.
How turbo friendly is a single throttle body vs seperate intakes for each cylinder? This has to be good news for the Turbo builders...it sure seems like the future.

yeah by the looks of it, i seems heavy when you think about oil thats gotto lube everything i know my nytro already holds almost 4 liters but the engine isnt nearly as big, and by the specs it seems just like a lowend grunt, i think mid and top are going to be ****ty, the only fun you might have with it is from a stand still lol we'll see late this year

I don't think it'll be marketed as a mtn sled. But touring type of deal.

Can only help our cause regarding land issues.

Neil, Reverup might be coming back???:)

its just like arctic cats 1100cc they are trying to get some of there trail riders back that like 4strokes they know its the way its going to be, just dont want to tell any of there mountain riders that.:rolleyes:oh & i like how they claim so many new & first in the industry designs umm there is allot of that stuff on the yammi motor.
