Weird idle issues, silber turbo....

No... Hes saying set the dam tps properly and you wont have a issue. The tps set up on a pro needs attention..Stockers are screwing up as well as turbos. Mine idles at 1800 but mine hasnt fkd up yet when it does ill re set it .

Then I guess I won't have anything to worry about because it is set correctly. Like I said, the dealer set it, I checked it and without the turbo the sled idles perfect. No problems, haha.
My worry is that I had my TPS set correctly the last time around and it still idled high. Also, there are other guys in this thread that are saying their TPS is set correctly and their sleds don't idle right either. ????? We'll see I guess.

Installed a new TPS on mine and set it. Ran it hard for 4 days and ran fine. After the install I did have a high idle issue but it was constant high, like 2200-2300 rpm. So I adjusted the idle down to 1800 and it idled there all weekend no problems.

Don't kid yourself boys, the TPS's on these sleds are problematic on turbo sleds AND stockers as well. I bought a spare TPS from RMS and the parts guy didn't even type it into the computer. All he said was "Yep, got one left. It's pretty sad when you don't even have to look up the number anymore." He also told me that it didn't matter what year pro, updated tps or not, they are having problems with all of them.

Guys I think a lot of the issues we are seeing is that there just isn't enough stator in the sled to run everything at the voltages that are required. Just take a look at your taillight when the sled is at idle an you will see the draw from the oil pump as it pulses. If you give the sled a little throttle when you hit the reverse it will switch every time. Just think about all the stuff we have running, pump, control box and afr and no wonder they idle like crap and won't go into reverse. I have 300 miles on mine and now the speedo pickup has failed this is all part of the joys of running a mod sled, you pays your money and you take your chances! Would I go back, hell no! Am I concerned obviously, but do I expect it to run like a stock pull and go, No but there is definitely issues with the electrics on these sleds! Sorry for the diatribe.:face-icon-small-win

I've been thinking about installing the wiring harness for the battery and adding a small 12 volt battery. What are everyones thoughts on doing this??? It should stay charged up fine when riding and also supply the little extra at idle.

Not sure if this is relevant, my return fuel line was kinked and it was enough that it had to have some restriction. Could that have caused my higher than normal idle?

My idle was low so I had the dealer adjust the tps. They put it on the high side of the spec. Now when you start it warm, it idles at 2000 rpm then once the fuel controller goes through it's cycle then it idles from 2300-2600. At this idle the stator is producing lots of power and it goes into reverse everytime. I should have done this earlier.

Entirely possible but I still lean to electrics but I do like the idea of a small battery to kind of act as a buffer for the stator has anyone done this?

I am running a battery for my E start. I bought lightweight batteries for my other sleds, haven't gotten to it with the Pro, yet. The Shorai batteries that I bought only weigh 2.5Lbs and spin the e start as good or better than the stock battery. They make a smaller battery that is less than a pound that will spin the starter too if someone is looking to add a battery. Also, for guys with no battery would it help to put a disconnect for the head lights and tail lights or switching to LED lights? Much lower draw on an LED.
