Weight transfer 2003 summit HO

My dad's 2003 summit 600 HO lives at my house and consequently gets an occasional ride by my dad (super trail queen) and it performs just fine for him; however, the sled seems to have a 90/10 bias towards the front when it comes to ski pressure. The damn thing just won't turn for me in the powder...

What should I be looking at as far as front spring preload, skid setup, limiter strap setting, etc for this sled to make it "turnable" in the pow.

Trust me I'm riding the crap out of it when I'm on it but it just feels like a giant 2x12 is underneath me. I originally thought it was just the length of the track at 144" as my older 136" long AC was super easy to turn, but since I picked up the Nytro with a 153", which turns on a dime and certainly weighs more in the front than the Summit, that put that idea to shame.

Any setup ideas would be appreciated.

weight transfer is great for hillclimbing. Too much weight transfer can make steering a problem especially when under acceleration.

i am not familiar with the REV chasis but if it is a ZX chasis and its weight transfer you want, i would start with

1 - let the limiter stap out all the way
2 - dial in more spring pressure on the rear skid front shock
3 - make sure you have the standard torsion springs not the heavy fatboy springs
4 - set the ajustment block on the torsion springs to the softest setting

adjusting ski pressure will do more for steering on the trails than for weight transfer.

PRE-REV chassis

The 2003 Summit is the pre-rev chassis, non-rider forward design. The rev chassis was available in 03 but only in the short track models.

Best way I can describe it is "rounded and tublike" in the front.

Sucker just won't turn.
