weight of a set up turbo nitro ready to ride, lets hear the truth

i will be riding with a few this year and want to know the truth on the weight... tired of hearing the same line...you do not feel the extra weight because of the hp

but i sure will when i have to pull on the skis, i will try to take it to the scale when he is not around, lol

found a few threads on it, not sure if they are accurate...................

Weight of Nytro MTX full of fuel ready to ride spare belt tools rear rack etc
635lbs
Weight of Nytro MTX full of fuel with MCX turbo kit installed ready to ride
660lbs
Before you panic Weight of 700 Dragon full of fuel/oil ready to ride with boondocker turbo
615lbs
And the Nytro kills the dragon with 12lbs boost 10lbs boost on Dragon

They seem pretty accurate to me, this is an measurement MaxSled did last year.

620.6 full of fuel with a 40L trail tank instead of the 28 liter stock tank. Timbersled front and rear. MCX turbo.

Troll.........

I ride with Apex's and Nytro's all the time. They are no harder to get unstuck than any other sled. In fact with the track speed they make even on flat ground it is easier to get them moving than the lighter sleds with less track speed and HP. Of course, I'm one tough SOB so it may not seem that easy to you.

thanks guys, washy his sled has your same options, and he is running a 162" camo supreme, so give or take i am guessing he should be close in weight

my buddy with the nitro was thinking he was going to be around the 550, i knew if felt heaiver than that, but left it at that

as for you spur, digging another 120lbs is nothing, for me it is!!

my buddys last sled was a 1000 rev, and if felt front end heavy, and was a pig to get out, i think the weight was close to where he is now, hope not:eek:

My sled is actually the one in the background. That one there is a Slave Lake Yamaha Sled. You can probably take off 20 lbs because that sled has a 40L tank and the stock is 28L. So it would be close to 600 ready to ride.

I have also "calculated/estimated" where I'm at for a normal days riding...extra fuel, tools, bunjie, food, drink, gloves, hat, etc 646.5# ready to ride, as I leave the trailer. :)

My Dad's '05 800 Rev 575# (full of oil, 10 gal of fuel)
156x16x2.5
aftermarket pipe & can
2 wheel kit
sway bar removed(?)
removed tail light/tunnel rack
otherwise, mostly stock

Those were all weighed on the same hanging digital scale.

There is a bit of a discrepency with fuel on the Nytros (as they tend to hold less than the 2 strokes), but...its because they can get away with it.
I've never yet ran out of fuel w/ my 10g tank + 2g extra. Where as my 840 Rev had left me w/o fuel (even while packing an extra 2.5g) a few times..expecially through its tuning phases..

Every sled I have ever helped get unstuck was heavy.... unless there were 3 guys gettin it out, xp's included. Only time mines really bad is when nobody can get to me for helping................ Maybe I should lose the turbo:rolleyes:...........nah:D

Ahhh Im gonna have to say bs on that one. I have an apex an a xp and when you stick an apex there is a difference. Yeah an apex will get moving in alot of places most machines wont, but they dont' get unstuck as easy. When I stick the apex you cant even see the bumper. I normally wait for friends who are normally looking the other way when i stick it or get a shovel and have a little picnic :)
