Weight Addition With Electric Start on 800 XP

How did you get the sled to start after removing the battery? Mine has no spark.

You will need to get the wire harness for the relay from the manual start sled....they are a must have because your sled will not pull start with a dead battery, I found out the hard way and ended up being a late night tow out.
With the manual start pigtail harness you can swap it out if you are stuck with a dead battery while riding.

So the electric has the 5 amp fuse in it and the manual doesnt? Do you carry both wiring harnesses now so you can swap them out if you had a problem?

I just went through the pain of tracking all the wiring to trace a problem with electric start model not charging. I too found out if the battery is disconnected/dead the sled will not start. There must be a way around this besides buying another wiring harness?

I have E-start on my 06 and always will in the future. It's nice to pull up, shut her down and talk in quiet then just push the button and go. When I order my XP this year it will still be a 44lb weight lose for me.

Electric start 2007 Ski Doo

Thanks again for your help. I found out that on 07's and earlier you need a "Configuration Harness" Ski Doo Part number: 515 176 175. This number is good for other earlier years also. Hope this helps someone who is flabergasted like I was. Now I can stripp 23 lbs off my machine.
