I do not buy the fuel issue Fred brings up sounds like sour grapes. I ride with cats and Doo's they all bun similar fuel when pulling hard. On a trail at 1/3 throttle the Etec will do better. The 600 is even better on the trail but worse on the hill due to pulling more RPMs to stay on top.
put 120 miles on my underpowered sled this weekend.

no one leaves the parking lot dry.... this is full of fluids, and yes even the 30 percent better fuel mileage etec starts with a full fuel tank and with a stock muffler sled weight is 550... but the 12 poo is 525... thats 25 lbs less

now if your 13 is less thats great, but just remember we can drop quick weight as well, i have all parts in the garage right now to take 30lbs off that sled quicker than you can think, so now the weight difference is less than the weight of the extra fuel you will need on a long day of riding

once again, both sleds are great, and either will be a blast, but one sticks out for me

So Fred I finally got it figured out. I'm going to remove my seat, hood, panels, bumpers, ski's, spindles, and finally my windshield. Wait, I might even take off the foam thingy from my handlebars. Then I'm going to go on a diet myself. All in hopes of being able to keep up to your most awesome etek. Your my hero...

I am a doo rider at heart and thinking I just may put a skidoo decal on my snowchecked PRO next year because I hate Polaris that much but one cannot beat the PRO, but thats beside the point. So even if I do believe the PRO is that much worse on fuel I do not know that many people that carry the fuel caddy all day long. Ride up the trail, top off the sled before heading tree bound, drop the remaining fuel at the trail head and on the way back top up again if need be and head down the trail back to the truck. This argument of the Etec not having to carry fuel is really a pointless one because who carries it all day with them anyway. But that is just my 2 cents.
