people can piss and moan all the want about whether it is torture or not, I could care less... they did what they needed to do to get quality intel out of mohammad, it WORKED, it SAVED LIVES...

edit - and fwiw, i don't consider the water board to be remotely in the same league of torture as methods like "death by a thousand cuts", bone breaking, having your finger nails ripped out, electric shock, tooth extraction, branding, forced circumcision and many others...

try it at home...I give you 5 seconds max, once the water started going down my nose it was all over. If you're really motivated and have a hard mind set you could do it (hence U.S. special operations folks going through it), but your instinct will be to do whatever is necessary to get out of it.

Waterboarding is the same torture as the 100's of thousands of familys that have lost jobs & cant make their payments go through while the Gov spends foolishly. Ask any of the want-to-be empoyeed unemployeed what type of emotional torture they are going through & it is the same.
