Watch a reporter expierence waterboarding!!

fuk that, I wouldn't want to try that

ever get into a wrestling match with someone and they pin you under water? ya, instant crazy panic attack

legs were roped off, hands tied and straped to a board? omg panic city!

That's what it's supposed to induce. All of our elite soldiers get water boarded before they graduate, bet ya didn't know that. You don't see them complaining about it...it's all about your mental capacity to stay calm under stress.

If Sean Hannitty had any balls he'd get waterboarded just like he offered too. Yet when someone called him on it and offered to give him $1,000 for every second he lasted he chickened out like the panzy that he is.

IF one towel-head gave up one shred of info that saved one American life because of waterboarding------it was worth it, or maybe you would rather be bowing to the west every day.

After watching the video a couple years ago of the guy getting his head sawed off, I could care less what we do to them. Water boarding seems like the perfect trade off though, we scare the hell out of them and get the info we need to help prevent more planes flying into buildings and then we can tell the parasites at the Hague that we didn't pound bamboo up the underside of their fingernails or light up a cattle prod half way up their ***. More fair than they'd treat us if given the chance.

I consider the following---- torture

Medal of Honor recipient Bud Day Talks of Torture....

The prelude to the "response" below, from Colonel Bud Day, Medal of Honor recipient - prisoner of war survivor - reads "I didn't expect to be reminded of my treatment some 36 years ago on this holiday weekend but our politicians find it worthy to ignore what some have tried to recount to them, who have actually been there."

****************************************************************************
I got shot down over N Vietnam in 1967..a sq commander.

After I returned in 1973.. I published 2 books that dealt a lot with "real torture" in Hanoi. Our make believe president is branding our country as a bunch of torturers when he has no idea what torture is.

As for me..put thru a mock execution because I would not respond...pistol whipped on the head...same event.. Couple of days later...hung by my feet all day. I escaped and got recaptured a couple of weeks later.. I got shot and recaptured. Shot was OK...what happened after was not.

They marched me to Vinh.. put me in the rope trick, trick..almost pulled my arms out of the sockets. Beat me on the head with a little wooden rod until my eyes were swelled shut, and my unshot, unbroken hand a pulp.

Next day hung me by the arms...rebroke my right wrist...wiped out the nerves in my arms that control the hands..rolled my fingers up into a ball. Only left the slightest movement of my L forefinger. So I started answering with some incredible lies.

Sent me to Hanoi strapped to a barrel of gas in the back of a truck.

Hanoi..on my knees..rope trick again. Beaten by a big fool.

Into leg irons on a bed in Heartbreak Hotel.

Much kneeling--hands up at Zoo.

Really bad beating for refusing to condemn Lyndon Johnson.

Several more kneeling events. I could see my knee bone thru kneeling holes.

There was an escape from the annex to the Zoo. I was the Senior Officer of a large building because of escape..they started a mass torture of all commanders.

I think it was July 7, 1969..they started beating me with a car fan belt. In first 2 days I took over 300 strokes..then stopped counting because I never thought I would live thru it.

They continued day-nite torture to get me to confess to a non-existent part in the escape. This went on for at least 3 days. On my knees..fan belting.. cut open my scrotum with fan belt stroke. opened up both knee holes again. My fanny looked like hamburger..I could not lie on my back.

They tortured me into admitting that I was in on the escape..and that my 2 room-mates knew about it.

The next day I denied the lie.

They commenced torturing me again with 3- 6- or 9 strokes of the fan belt every day from about July 11 or 12rh..to 14 October 1969. I continued to refuse to lie about my roommates again.

Now, the point of this is that our make-believe president has declared to the world that we (U.S.) are a bunch of torturers.. Thus it will be OK to torture us next time when they catch us....because that is what the U.S. does.

Our make-believe president is a know nothing fool who thinks that pouring a little water on some one's face, or hanging a pair of womens pants over an Arabs head is TORTURE. He is a meathead.

I just talked to MOH holder Leo Thorsness who was also in my sq in jail .... as was John McCain ... and we agree that McCain does not speak for the POW group when he claims that Al Gharib was torture .. or that "water boarding" is torture.

Our president and those fools around him who keep bad mouthing our great country are a disgrace to the United States. Please pass this info on to Sean Hannity. He is free to use it to point out the stupidity of the claims that water boarding ...which has no after effect... is torture. If it got the Arab to cough up the story about how he planned the attack on the twin towers in NYC ... hurrah for the guy who poured the water.

BUD DAY, MOH

George Everett "Bud" Day (born February 24, 1925) is a retired U.S. Air Force <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Air_Force> Colonel <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colonel_%28United_States%29> and Command Pilot <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aviator> who served during the Vietnam War <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vietnam_War> . there is a book by an ex SAS soldier about being captured in the first iraq war, and the things the did to him! now THAT was torture. the book is Bravo Two Zero by andy mcnab---when his group of 8 was discovered in norther n iraq, they made a run for syria. marched 160 miles in 3 days i think it was, and killed or wounded over 270 iraqi's on along the way, while losing 3 of their own! very good read!!

Do you ever think that maybe an American soldier lost his life because he was acting on bad information when we waterboarded someone and got bad info because the person being waterboarded would tell the interogators ANYTHING to make the pain stop?

Food for thought....
;)

Nope.
Never even considered it, not for a second.

Reply back when you actually know what direction Muslims face when they pray in the USA.

It is a sad day when people are brainwashed into thinking that waterboarding actually provides reliable info. Most people will tell you what you want to hear when they are fearing for their lives. If you do not believe waterboarding is torture then I encourage you to view the videos of several media personal who believed the same but once they were waterboarded their view changed 180 degrees.

The founding fathers would be absolutely ASHAMED of the "military tactics" that some of you perceive as being productful in protecting our nation when the fact is that they add fuel to the fire.

I am a registered Republican and political conservative so save your liberal hate speech for somewhere where it actually applies.

It is painfully obvious when reading SnoWest why the republican party is in total disarray. THE REPUBLICAN PARTY NEEDS TO BACK OFF ON SOCIAL ISSUES AND MOVE TO THE RIGHT FISCALLY JUST AS THE PARTY WAS FOUNDED, NOT UNDER SOME UMBRELLA OF CONSERVATISM WHEN IN FACT BUSH JR. AND MANY REPUBLICANS BEFORE HIM SPENT MONEY LIKE A BILLIONAIRE PLAYBOY(S). Capitalization added for emphasis.

I'm sorry some of you continue to be in complete denial while others admit the errors of their ways, including myself.

"Cue the flame war".

Yha shortstop. I'm not much a believer in torture. Not that I have a problem with them doing it, to save lives. I'm just not convinced it's the best way to get good info. This aint a TV show. Plus, we signed onto the Geneva Convention, and we should follow our obligations. I bet good money, the best info has comes from notes and computers, found at some home or cave. Probably the best info, comes from paying someone for the info.

Just as an example. Look at the torture they put on Bud Day, and McCain, and all the others. In most cases, it didn't work. I'm just have to believe we can outsmart some idiot, and trick them into telling us what we want to know.

I'm more along the lines of ask them some questions, try to gain their confidence to get the info. Threaten them, and if that doesn't work. Hold a war's trail. Find them guilty of murder, under the non uniformed laws of the Geneva Convention. The USA didn't sign the guerrilla amendments of 1977, and I don't believe that out-of-country Nationals can be protected under it. Plus they don't deserve POW status, if they don't reciprocate. Then execute them. We should never have brought those people out of Iraq or Afghanistan, to our base. They should have been buried there, or released, or left to the locals.

Worst part about all of this, some bleeding heart, will release all these people, to kill more Americans.

From a Canadian perspective. I say God Bless America for taking the stand that it does on crimes against our planet. I watched the Nicolas berg video, and I have one hell of a strong stomach but I had to shut it off about 3 seconds into the actually "sawing" of that poor Bastard's head from his torso. That visual still disturbs me to this day. If waterboarding invokes the fear of death or dying into a terrorists brain, whether or not it brings out valuable info or not, I'm all for it. Too G@d Dam many bleeding hearts in N. America who would prefer to embrace these terrorist MFers and rehabilitate or educate them. It can't be done. Water boarding is too good for them IMO. They still get to breath when the experience is over.

They also get put into a gas chamber, tazed, Induced with things such as ANTHRAX, and so forth. If it doesnt kill ya it only makes you stronger!

EXACTLY!!!

I wrote a 15 page research essay on torture in college, and what i concluded is that it gives up useless info. There are an overwhelming amount of CIA/military commanders and heads that dont support torture its amazing. I actually read an account by this guy in vietnam who said he got the best info from giving prisoners cigs and ****...

not to say that your conclusions were wrong, but 15 whole pages, WOW. that must have been first or at most second year undergrad! AWESOME!
