It depends on if you take them at face value or if you take them as intended.
A good example of that is a woman that allowed people to hold her at gun point and rob her because she believed that "Thou shalt not kill" meant she had no recourse against these people.
In all actuallity "Thou shalt not kill" should read "Thou shalt not murder." Self defense is A-OK
HAH. mabye in the small simple town youve always grown up in...Being nice and following those while working in politics in DC would not have got me $hit. Thats the reality of it. I did/do alot of bad **** to get where i am and keep jobs that pay going....

Sorry you feel that way. If jobs and pay are how you define success then you have gotten where you wanted to be but I'm afraid that you are in a place thar you dreaded most, in deep $hit.
Unfortunately, there isn't an 11th Commandment that says you can break 1-10 as long as you succeed. Bummer!

That is just sad.
I quit jobs that paid great to take a lower paying job.
Why??
Money is not the end all that some people think it is.
If you spend all your time chasing the all mighty dollar, all you end up with is a dollar. All the people you stepped on getting to where you are will be more than happy to step on you latter in life. Carma is a b!tch.
A family that is happy, healthy and has everything they need (notice I didn't say everything they want).
Friends that you can depend on.
Waking up in the morning and looking forward to the day.
having people look forward to seeing you.
Enough cash to pay the bills with enough left over to have some fun and save some for later in life.
I may never be rich in cash, but I will never want for friends or people that love me. You can laugh all you want, but at the end of the day, that is all that matters.

And i respect that. I love my job. Why? dishing out bull**** for a living is what i like. I have friends that i can depend on and my family lives very comfortably and have a strong financial backing. I guess the point i was trying to make is ive gotten where i am from breaking those 10 commandments. And about yur Karma thing, very true. All of the people ive screwed have given it right back, not directly but semi. And thats my job and my life. Im not gonna ***** about cause i understand thats how **** is. Its not sad, its different. And you say as long as your family is healthy then were set. Well what if someone on my family gets cancer and needs all the medication/treatment/whatever else is needed? i can covr it and i will. Money is importnt in life, i hate to say it myself but it is.

how bout money is important to you and others that share your respective beliefs of stepping on others to get what you want (not need).
when you start seeing others as people and on the same level as yourselve you can truly have a heart of peace and wont need to treat people as objects to gain for yourself...

Dude don't be like that. Take it from a guy that tends to be on the other (some would say wrong) side of issues, even though people disagree with your statement, it is a good slap back into reality of how some people think. Even though a lot of the responses were harsh, it is good to see people that are truly honest with themselves about themselves and there actions.
If this site was everyone agreeing about everything it would be pretty boring. Just accept that people don't agree with you and call it ok, even though you are wrong.
It is lunch time isn't it.
