Warning!!! about headlight delete venting

Last Season i removed the lights and ran a good quality vent over both headlight holes....well, after the season i noticed the vent material was getting very loose and the three plastic cross memebers were bent , this part of the hood and the narrow plastic between the two lights and on each side....took a heat gun and bent it all back:rolleyes:

im running headlights now:beer;

Was it a few rollovers that did this? could it be im unlucky?....all i know is this MOD will never be on any of my sleds:cool:

If yer going to delete headlights put the BDX kit in. It has some cool covers and a rivet kit that attaches the windshield and all down to the light pods. Its relatively cheap and worth it................................

bummer, do you think maybe a little heat protection might have avoided this???

I've got screens on 4 sleds now & have never had a problem.

The headlights add very little "structure".
I've rolled my sleds & my wife's sleds bunches of times, that's how I get unstuck the majority of the time.

I think you're just unlucky, NEVER heard of this being a problem.

btw, not to cut on BDX, but as a venting device, the headlight delete is seriously lacking, the screen type headlight covers are worlds ahead of that in keeping the sled cool.
