Want to "borrow" somebody's sled...is this possible?

I grew up snowmobiling and now want to get back into it.

I rented a Skidoo Rev XP a couple of times last year, and it was a great sled, but I'd like to see what else is out there. The problem is that I can't track down any rental companies in the Salt Lake that rent an M1000 or Polaris Dragon, as those are the three (the XP, M1000, or Dragon) I'd like to consider purchasing.

If anybody on the forum knows of or has an M1000 or Dragon that they'd like to loan me in exchange for money (I'm refraining from using the word "rent" because of legal issues, so let's just call it "borrowing"), I'd love to hear from you.

I would also be interested in testing out some modified sleds, like a supercharged Apex or turbo'd anything, as historically I've always modified my cars/atvs/bikes/etc...

I'm honestly open to ideas. I understand the snow isn't very deep yet, so obviously we would need to come to an understanding on any damages that could occur while riding the sled (ie I pay for it or cover any deductibles). I'm very reasonable in this regard!

I'm also very open on price and understand that a $150-250/day rental or so for a sled might sound overpriced to some (depends on the sled), but I'm open to it and would pay up front in cash.

Hopefully this doesn't get deleted by the moderators! I'm sorry if I'm breaking any forum rules and please delete if necessary.

Email me at bradishot@gmail.com with any questions, offers, or ideas!

Oh, and I have a two place trailer and a RR Sport Supercharged to tow it with, so don't worry about delivery or anything...

newgate honda in ogden and triple s did domo rides on stock and mod sleds. give them a call see what they're doing this year.

Tri-City usually has demo rides where you can try their sleds. I'd call there first. I had some friends rent some Polaris from SSS as well. Just go with a dragon - you won't be sorry.:D

you can rent an xp or any other sled and we can go out and ride and switch on and off i have a 09 dragon. i just would not anyone use my new sled without me being there most are probably the same way i would think. break it replace it obviously

This falls under a basic Man Law: Asking to borrow a mans sled is like asking to borrow his underwear!! :)

So, if your willing to put on my dirty underwear, I might just let you try my Twisted 1000!! Did I tell you that you have to wear my underwear as a head sock?? Hope the damn diarrhea is gone!! ;) LOL

Thanks, guys!

I've actually had quite a few offers for modified sleds.

I understand the hesitation on the "borrowing" of a sled. I would never let anybody rent my M3 or Range Rover, no matter the price...but I am willing to put down a credit card deposit, leave a copy of my license, pledge my wife, etc...all in case the sled is damaged while I'm riding it. ;)

I am very experienced, I just would like to test different "levels" of sleds before purchasing them.

post a pic of here. At her worst....

She's not really a looker, but here she is:
