We have enough oil reserves in America, by shale, tar, coal, Anwar, offshore to supply us for thousands of years. We do have the technology to extract it from the more difficult sources, and it's getting cheaper all the time.
We have enough natural gas reserves for MILLIONS of years(no joke).
We can use nuclear energy to drastically reduce our petrolium dependence (About 80% of Europes energy comes from nuclear power)
In that amount of time....human...American ingenuity WILL find alternatives sources of energy.
The major problem is environmental groups, (special interest groups, lobbyists), and the government that enacted laws to paralyze the US and it's pursuit of being energy independent. I believe that the media has greatly misinformed the people to believing there is this great energy crunch. We do not have to be in this situation!!!!!
We CAN be energy independent and tell OPEC and others to shove it. It's time the people of America stood up and told the vocal minority to shove it and get our government to do what the people want. I still believe in America and the power of the people.
Don't believe me...that's fine, then do nothing, but then you have no right to wine and complain. Can't hurt to try SOMETHING and this is by far the best thing I've heard to date!!!
