It wouldn't have been a big deal, but when you are stuck in the turnaround at friggin Gold Creek/Hyak and there is 12" of wet snow acting as wheel chocks on both truck and trailer, using what little energy I have to dig snow out of a designated snopark while 3 (yes,I counted them) DOT snow plows are driving 60mph down I-90 to scrape 1/8" of slush off the far shoulder....it makes me wonder. Why do I buy tabs and a snopark permit? Why are they wasting fuel when the hiway is bare and wet and traffic doing 70mph?...while there are Subaru's and trucks stuck sideways on the snopark access road??
Is it on a special "no-plow list"?? It would take them 15 minutes to clean off the entire road and turnaround. Ok, I'm done venting :beer;:)

 well I dont know for sure but it might be that the snowparks are not yet on the schedual to be plowed, and thoes rigs on the road have nothing to do with them, check with someone in the know, I know there is no grooming yet, at least I know of none,, and maybe the snopark clearing is tied into them................

I was thinking that too....but it's also a county road and all the other side roads in the area seemed to have been clear.

Snow clearing politics is pure BS.

Most drivers would love to help but at least in BC each road has a "tolerance" and a priority.

During the olympics not more than 1 inch can accumulate between the north and south ends of whistler.

just the way she goes!

I'm sure we will be out of grooming and plowing funds by mid January....they'll claim the early snow is to blame

Funny how our snopark permits start in November.

I mean, fair is fair. They took the money for the tabs and permits. Now they should be accepting their responsibility to maintain the snopark area's. Some low snow years that will be an easy job, others (last couple), not so much. Yet that shouldn't absolve them of their accepted responsibilities.

My .02 cents.

I would like to blame this on the kent teachers, WA government and the union and company greed:D I think I have it all covered but I could be wrong

heck at least u got to ride unlike me ! i got to work all day !!!!! u could have been at work on the computer on snowest LOL:eek: ! glad u had a good ride !
mike:D

I will explain this one time and one time only.....

Unions are stuck fightin for what they could be worth.....

when are they gonna find time to clear a dead end road???

I can't believe the libs have not chimed in blaming Bush yet.

It's really your fault Brew....

You actually expected to get some service for the moneys you paid to your Gooberment.
I mean really, What were you thinking!

As most of you probably know, WSDOT plow trucks remove snow (or no snow) on I-90. They are not allowed to plow county roads or sno-parks.

Not sure when the contractor that won the bid to remove snow at that sno-park will start plowing. I think I heard somewhere that the previous contractor did not bid on the snow removal this year.

Who was it that got plowed in by the contractor at that same sno-park a couple years past? maybe you are lucky the plow didn't show up? ;)

Was the sign out to indicate that the road out of that area was "closed to wheeled vehicles"?
