WHose got any miles on there tunnel extension. Just got my sled all together, havent even rode it. Pushed down on tunnel to try to cycle more AF to cooler. and bam bent a solid 60 degrees down behind the gas rack. Got pics but cant upload them,

huh

somethings got to be wrong with install and need to put up pics ive got 2 of them and me and two hot chicks could have a party on the back of mine, heck one of mines a 174 sticks way out there. no way i could push it down and im not kidding about the chicks!

Agreed. Something is wrong with the install. Have pulled other sleds and run 2 2.5 gallon tanks on the back bouncing around with no damage. Mine are stronger than stock.

Check install or send in photos so we can look.

Can you post a picture of all the areas where the ve piece attaches to the factory tunnel?

i had a ve bumper bend but it was install i already had bdx kickups and i cut the ve down to match the kickups one king cat 900 and 800 bucks i got it fixed i would if it was installed right it would be really hard to bend it

did you put rear backhalf on or just the bumper piece. hard to tell from pics, looks like bumper and you cut to much out you can see material in one of first holes. did you spend 2 hun or 4 hun. if you just put bumper on you needed to leave tunnel even with ve piece. if its a ve backhalf all i can say is i am wowed i dont understand.

This is the full Rear Half Boondock tunnel, hence the title. Noit just the bumper.
All SS rivets, an air hammered. 174 length. Not my first tunnel!

you're missing some meat on the tunnel. I dont think you should be able to see thru the holes on the side. That would def explain the bendy

x3 .. I left as much back tunnel material behind the VE as possible. Not a good pic and not the same cut on the side, but you get the idea. Let us know what VE says.

the last 3 guys to respond are wrong. I just did full boondock extension on mine and you can definitely see through the tunnel. If it just the rear bumper I would assume its different. I however can't believe mine could ever bend though. Its like a 1/4 inch thick and full of rivets. Did you manage to bend your heat exchanger back there as well?

Ve tunnel

Hey guys I just put this same tunnel on my sled and you can see through the holes just like that one. Have not rode mine yet but let me know what happens mine seems to be prity tough though. Mine also came preassembled just had to drill the old extention off and rivet the new one on just like in the pictures. Keep this going and keep us informed.

Mat'l looks to be .125 or .187 thick, With that extra leverage of that length it sure could bend? Also that slotted hole removed too much crossectional area at that location. Upper rack edge should angle back and not be scalped inward at that location. Otherwise the matl. could be annealed or not the same type that they originally had designed around? I am sure he will replace it.
