Nothing has been touched in this thread. And unless it is WAYYY out of line. It shouldn't be touched.

You make it seem like mods go around and change every little thing all over the place.
Do you know how many posts are created in a day and how many are actually touched by mods?

Not off topic. That is what this thread is all about. Anything goes....well almost anything. Where are you hunting at? Are you high, low, middle ground?
 
been all over trying high, with a little luck and low. Its weird i have seen a million does just no bucks. hicked my butt off and see like 2 or 3 does then get in the truck heading back and see a ton of deer. its crazy. i have been all over up lake creek and towars co-op and strawberry.

Maybe get out and hike some of the low country. In some areas the deer start migrating early and you won't see much up high. Also spend more time behind the glass and less time on the foot. I would hike out away from the roads and get where you need to be before daylight. Then, once it's light just sit and glass everything for the first hour. If you haven't done this up high I would go up high first. Then on day two I would go middle ground and do the same. Then low ground. When you find the deer stick to that level/area. I have a bad habit of getting impatient and moving around too much. Many times I have blown an opportunity I would have had if I had just stayed put and glassed. Good luck.
 
You could go hang out with my dad. Sit on their deck feeding chipmunks and squirrels. Wait for your buck while you do it. Okay. You can't shoot in the association. So then you go for a walk with my dad across the street to the beaver ponds, lay in the willows and wait................................Then kill....................... I don't know. That's how he did it.

hahaha i wish i was as lucky as him. That is awesome. maybe i will kill my first deer by the time i am 65 hahah.

That smiley is about right for a lot of utah rifle hunters.:rolleyes: After 15 shots just assume, well it ran off so I must have missed it. Then they don't follow up on the shot(s) only to leave a dead deer on the mountain.

Sorry to rant.....just a pet peeve. But hey, at least I'm not off topic.:p
 
hahah roping one is probably my only chance to shoot one. The way my luck is running it doesnt seem to good haha. I will do what i gotta do. It will come one day. Now i just need some snow to get my mind off of it.
 
Derek, too bad you don't have a central tag. I am going out with a buddy in the morning. He has a central tag and I have a cow elk tag. I will call you when we need help packing it out.;)
