I think most everyone in UT can provide at least one story about a DNR Cop that has an attitude. I dont envy their jobs as they have to deal with all types of personalities. However most that I have come across seem to have an attitude as well. Maybe their are frustrated with their jobs, maybe they do not like the weather, the cold, or the outdoors. It would seem to me that being in the outdoors and getting paid to ride sleds, & atv's your disposition would be more positive.
If they spent more time ticketing the cross country skiers that park in such away as to try to block access to the parking lots. Or, watching the parking lots for those that might sabotage your rigs while out riding. Or, tracking down the cross country skiers that stick out their poles and try to hit you. My attitude might be a bit different. I am sure many of the No UT guys will remember a few years ago there was a surge of destruction & sabotage to trucks and trailers at the Beaver Mtn parking lots. Did anyone recall seeing extra patrols in the parking lot? Or any one of the DNR guys setting and watching for the perps? I never did, and I was up there every weekend and sometimes during the middle of the week. We wound up taking turns, having one in our group stay at the truck for part of the day to watch over our rigs.
