2005 Dodge CTD has been a great truck. 17-19 Hwy/City and 15 no matter what I pull. Great thing about the cummins it has been the basically same engine since the late 80's. They are very reliable and I like the looks of the Ram. A while a go the American Fork dealer had mega cab 6-speed (a must), 4*4 CTD for like $25,000 if you had $4,500. Good luck, I just dont recommend the Ford PSD.

I pull with a new Tundra. Have a 27' enclosed 3 place all aluminum that comes over Parley's at 85 and rolls beautifully. 11.4 mpg towing cross country loaded. (the trailer) 17 overall. Used to have a Ford 3/4 and a Mega Cab 3/4. Like the Tundra best. the Mega Cab did sleep well in that back seat. huge!

This is an interesting option. What kind of engine does your Tundra have? I would say that I like the looks of the new Tundra the best (and love Toyota reliability), but haven't heard they're the best at towing...

I have the 5.7 with aftermarket intake and exhaust and a 3" lift. in the winter I go back to stock size snow tires.

come hook up my trailer and we can go for a tow. it's my first Toyota but not my last. Sunridge is towing w/his too. w/a 6" lift, 35's and a steel trailer and at 85 mph the other day I wasn't pulling away from him.

I decided to stay with my 98 dodge 12 valve 3/4 to short bed. I had a 01 duramax 1 ton pulled good but had a lot of problems. The 12 valve cummins is the cheapest to repair if you lunch a motor,you can get the biggest bang for your money if you decide you need more hp. The 12 valve is tried and true and very dependable. I think the chev has the best interior of all the trucks,kinda like a caddy in side.

If your going to buy a ford get a 7.3 !!! i am running a ford ais intake, bully dog programmer and a mbrp 4 inch turbo back exhaust. I run in the low to mid 20's on the highway empty and 14-18 pulling a 27 foot haulmark with 5 sleds in it.

Rick its all about the Dodge Cummins man. I drive a 2004 Cummins 2500 with an Edge Programmer and a 4in. turbo back exhaust.

Hey Blake, I'm sure glad to hear the Tundra's are pulling so well. I'm glad to know that we woNT have to drive slow to Wyoming this year riding in Spencers tundra-Heck at 85 we should be there in no time. We can park our old Dogde and Fords and ride the Jap train all year.

Dear Sandra Bullocks hubby's rims, bite me. No one has pulled Parley's more than me w/a trailer. Bikes, sleds etc to TCP. MPH in US $ for $ let's go holmes. GPS based. (now it IS working but it's a gasser. ***) ps. HO HO, HO.

I tow with a 04 F-350 power stroke. My riding partners have a Dmax and a Cummins. Lets put it this way I would never trade my PSD for ether one of those trucks. Mine roomier and more comfortable and I can leave them in the dust. Plus it’s a lot better looking. LOL
