With my sled at the powder coaters for the next two weeks I started getting bored... :D I'm currently looking for an 89-97 F-350 crew cab with a bad diesel motor and good body. Prefer manual tranny but auto is fine too. Color does not matter, just don't want rust or dents.

That's the plan if I can find a decent F-350 for the right price.

My dream truck is a 96 f250 crewcab shortbed with a dana 60 six inch lift and 35inch tires and a cummins, but my 98 dodge 12 valve is fun.

That is my dream truck as well(except on 38's), but it's so hard finding F-250 crew cabs I gave up and started looking at F-350's. If anything, I figure I can always shorten the frame and wheelbase and put a shortbed on it. I had an 89 F-350 on 38's and that makes for a big truck.

theres a 97 xlt 350 crew cab on craiglist for 5,000 its been on there for a long time make the guy an offer and pull the motor and sell it. A friend of mine has a 96 250 crew cab in Washington thats lifted Im thinking of buying it and driving to Montana and having FordCummins Do the swap. It Has a E4od And these transmissons suck unless you spend 5 grand to be built.

You must be talking about the pink and white one. There are few F-350's for $3,500-5,000. I'm going to give it some time, I really really want a manual. If you have the auto it's an extra $1,000 for the stand alone contoller for the tranny...and autos just suck. I've always had sticks and can't stand driving an auto.

Sorry for hijacking your thread Chad :D

Dang Caleb you like to open big cans o' worms don't you?

How do you find time to work, play AND tear into those kinda projects?

Should be a nice rig when ya get done bro!:beer;

I wasn't actually going to do the swap until summer but I also didn't plan on running into a bulldozer, lol. Worst part is it's eating into my supercharger money :(

I still need to find a donor truck though.

What is your goal with this project? I have a "TS Performance- Powerfool-2 Stage Nitrous System" that would work good on that truck if you updated the tranny.

My goal is a big azz truck that gets good mpg and is reliable. Plus I like to be unique, I hate having the same thing as everyone else.

A couple updated pics...went with a new paint scheme and it came out pretty well. Got the sled running tonight, I should have taken a picture blowing the smoke out the side dump.
