Unimployment blues, how I keep busy!!!!!

I work construction and got laid off for the winter yesterday and my sled is ready for winter. So I always wondered how much milk is sucked up by a oreo cookie?????
So I marked my cup, had 10 oreos (double stuffed) and soaked them one at a time for 20 seconds in fat free skim milk. When I was done they had soaked up 9/16 inch of milk. My cup is straight up and down and is
2 7/8" ID. I live in Minnesota and my house is at about 1100ft elevation which brings up a question????? Is this the same at higher elevation??? What about different milk? whole milk is thicker I bet that wouldnt soak in as much milk in 20 seconds?

I could tell you if I knew humidity and barometric pressure. BTW, since you have the time could you find out for us how close a fly gets to the ceiling before he flips over and lands on his feet?:D

I was kind of wondering how much milk a twinkie could absorb now that you mention it!

you better try this with more Oreo to get a better average try like a few hundred and see what happens. hahahahha

More people should try this to get a more accurate average? as for humidity and barametric pressure??? I use to race sprint cars and have acess to a tool that tells all of that. But then I would have to redo the test, we will just forget about humidity and barametric pressure!!!

humidity comes into play though because of the amount of moisture the cookie already retains before the test starts... :D

My buddy said MN is 1100ft??? I dont have a clue I guess? As far as humidity goes??? Since the soaking only goes on for 20 seconds I thought that would eliminate humidity because you dont soak till it cant soak anymore??? Has anybody else tried this yet??? Dont tell me im the only one sitting at home on a friday night watching MN WILD Hockey game and checking snowest forum!!!!!

I live in ND and would love to try this but have no Oreo's.......closest store with oreos would be 40 miles......I will just have to read and see how this comes out.......but another variant would be how tightly the top is twisted or untwisted?

In college I had to write a 5000 word paper on the oreo cookie. Needless to say I'm not a big oreo cookie guy.

In order for an airplane to fly straight and level, the following relationships must be true:

Thrust = Drag
Lift = Weight

If, for any reason, the amount of drag becomes larger than the amount of thrust, the plane will slow down. If the thrust is increased so that it is greater than the drag, the plane will speed up.
Similarly, if the amount of lift drops below the weight of the airplane, the plane will descend. By increasing the lift, the pilot can make the airplane climb.

Sorry my flight instructor burnt this into my head.
