Unfounded fears..........

I bought a '12 1,100 Proclimb and made the first trip to IP that season. Loose clamps and stupid skis, as well as a poor suspension setup kept me off my game. I missed even going West last season. Now I just got back from the Snowies WY. I ride with younger guys with M-8 turbos, Polaris Pros, etc. I am the oldest, with the heaviest sled. I was worried, real worried. The fourstroke was awesome. It handled great and ran wonderful. I love it now. The great ride, the power, balance , dare I say comfort? all come together to make me smile. I won't be getting a new sled soon.

Internet & Marketing

If I believed everything I read on the Internet (including these forums) - I would be riding a Summit XM or Polaris Pro (we do have a Pro in my household). Fortunately, I let myself decide by riding an M1100T, and subsequently purchasing one. It is a great sled (sure, it's a bit heavy and has had a few annoying quirks), but overall when properly set up it is a good machine that has the potential to be awesome with a bit of help from the aftermarket (a thanks to JustBoostIt, Evolution Powersports, C3, Kmod, and Racin Station). Most fun I've had with my clothes on, and I really don't care if the resale is low - when the deals come out I'll buy another to build. The 2013 M800 S/P Ltd (backup sled) with Exit suspension sure is lonely sitting in the trailer by itself all day...

I agree with you guys. I liked mine stock and it is a 2012. Now with all the evo goodies and k mod suspension, fun factor is a 10 out of ten.

Mine is stock..........

After all the tuning, wrenching and cooking engines that the mod. guys were doing, I'm not sure of the need for more. Granted they were two strokes. I assume there's a decrease of dependability with the modding of a four as well. I mean all I did was ride. Turn the key and ride.

I have wrenched more on this sled than another sled I've owned, but it's my first 280 hp torque monster. Engine has been very reliable,it's the drive train that's kept me busy.

That is where I am as well. I just want to get on this thing and turn the key and go. I am done with modding anything except for my recliner at home........

LOL

Snowies look awesome in the pics. Going to the Big Horns 2nd week of March. Hopefully the snow will be that good for us!!

Almost 4000 trouble free miles on 09 Nytro 270 MCX pump gas turbo running 18lbs boost, absolutely put gas in and pull the flipper, smile and ride!! Expecting the same thing out of my new 14 Viper 270 MCX as well!!

I think I had as much fun as the others.

A couple guys has engine issues, other were tuning a lot. One Doo guy even had to go buy a Poo. A turbo 800 popped. I guess they could carve a sidehill better, but I rode every day. Our trips cost too much and are rare enough not to waste. Just ride!

Right Jeff?

YOu hit the nail on the head....

yeah I was out in the snowies this last weekend and with the conditions I am sure glad I had my 1100t out there. the thing would climb up anything you pointed at and its mostly stock with just a can on it. playing in the trees was a little tougher than my m1000 but could still do anything you wanted to out there. I love the power of this sled and the boost is just the icing on the cake.

Ahhh...

Or you guys could just ride stock 800's....

Pics look good though Owen! Looking like I won't make it out there this year although the snow in IP right now sounds epic!

Really like that new Viper...

Joe:

Or maybe not.......... Owen and I wanted four stroke QUIET, and four stroke dependability.........

We got the quiet, but are still waiting on the dependability part to come through....... LOL

Jeff C:

If you are going to be in the horns the 2nd week of March I might still be there?

Sorry Joe.......

No two stroke..... Not for me. My point here is that my sled works. All the chat about weight and handling, had me nervous. I shouldn't have been. I did have a bad first trip two years ago, bad set up, loose clamps, skis that flipped up and stopped me and threw me off, all wrecked my confidence. Not anymore, the sled works. I can't quite put my finger on it, but all the 800's seem like they aren't worth the money. When you're used to the 1,100 T, the 800's feel anemic, dare I say cheap. My mod. King Cat allowed me to do most anything, but there is no way I would ever ride that thing again.

Yes, the new triple seems like a good start. I won't be getting one unless I can get a turbo with all the factory tuning and warranty that came with this 1,100sled. I'm not building my own sled anymore.
