Udall + Wilderness

It's Senator Udall and everyone in the state could vote for him. What I do remember was your vocal support of Obama and democrats in general. I'm no fan of any of them republican or democrat but it will be a cold day in hell before I ever vote for a democrat. Who are you supporting this election cycle?

Udall-schmoodall! Leadership comes from the top.

Udall is bought & paid for by enviros. Bennet too. Bottom feeders.
These are types that elected Pelosi as their Minority Leader over in the House. (after the schelacking)

Even if every last tea-partier was bought off, and every squishy liberal forces this crap through both houses of congress - the Pres still has to sign it into law (or not).

A Republican (potentially Conservative) POTUS would be very reluctant to strip away our rights in order to *protect* squirrels & rocks.

That's why I believe Presidential races are won/lost in the primaries.

McCain (RINO) would have signed the Dem's Wilderness bills.
Romney WILL sign this bill if it comes before him.
Newt - couch jumps with Nancy Pelosi. Nuff said.
Santorum - voted for Arlen Spectre!! WTF??

Plug in your Priuses folks!!

YoBama as a lame-duck is going to be 4 years of force feeding you vegi-burgers!

I saw Udall & Bennet address a (mostly)liberal audience at CU Law school a few weeks ago - those two threw more low hanging softballs out to that crowd than I can describe. They appear to honestly believe what they're saying... Reality Distortion Field in effect.

There is no purpose served for ANY of us who ARE actual OHV enthusiasts by voting for democrats PERIOD.

Show me one democrat in the last 30 years who has stuck up for the OHV recreational crowd consistently. Just one.

I seem to recall some YoBama voters making the irrational choice under the guise of "improving the economy".... Hope & Chage doctrine. Hope ya don't make that mistake TWICE!

;-)

The ****ty thing is .... in the political climate today, republicans aren't our friends either.

They'll cave to the oil and gas and mining industries (they're trying to go after union votes now that the libtards have hedged their bets on the enviroleytarded FUD-absorbed crowd they started creating 40 years ago) and use the OHV crowd as a sacrificial lamb to appease the artificially created envirotard voting block while allowing totally necessary drilling .... simply put, we're screwed no matter who is in office ... but with that said, the right-wingers are still much more resistant to the wilderness morons than the liberals are who just bend over backwards to sell off huge chunks of public land to foreign billionairs.

2008 was a choice between 2 Democrats! Obama & McCain.

I agree both "parties" are fatally flawed. I feel pretty damn good though when the gas station has fuel to sell me, and Colorado's mines employ families and provide metals to the world instead of Chineese mines with no oversight.

Someone made the point - never saw a Dem stand up for motorized access.

That hasn't been challenged yet. Certainly not in Colorado.

Look at the Sallyzar clown-twins! They're all fako-rancher until it's time to vote.

Screw politics - let's ride!

start emailing your senators! and donate some money to blueribbon, CSA, cohvco, etc. It amazes me how many people will spend 15 grand on a sled but refuse to spend 20 or 100 bucks for a donation to these organizations. SEND SOME MONEY!! I just got a letter from blueribbon asking for donations specifically for a Colorado legal action fund that they put together. the wilderness organizations have millions and millions of dollars to push their agendas.

Who is ARRA and

Larry E. Smith
Executive Director
Americans for Responsible Recreational Access

I recently emailed Udall and started receiving emails from ARRA stating that Udall was a friend of recreation.

Just found out that CSA/COHVCO/TPA has an in person meeting with the Senator on Monday regarding the proposal. Not staff.

We are going to voice our concerns about the proposal- it really is a bad idea

ARRA is an industry related lobbying group- Larry does a kick but job on capitol hill on all kinds of issues. Works with ACSA, AMA, MIC all the time

I emailed Udall but haven't recieved anything back yet.

Don't expect anything back other than a generic reply kind of thing. I voiced my opinion to him last week, as well as numerous other times over the years... and he'll probably never read any of them. We need people in office that actually listen to the Colorado people. Udall knows damn well what he heard in the meetings and what the majority thinks around here about more wilderness. As well as the online polls were all at 90% against wilderness last year. Udall doesn't care about the Colorado people. Just another BS politician that does what he wants cause it's what HE wants, not what the majority of Colorado wants.

We should plan a day and on that day EVERYONE call his office. I saw that politicians typically respond when they get 25+ calls about one agenda item in a day.

Udall is probably a lost cause. WE need to call other politicians that will be voting on it.

What day?

Put this in the general forum too, get EVERYONE who has EVER ridden in CO to call.

quote from udalls email- "wilderness is one of Colorado's great economic engines" Just about barfed when i read this. shows how he is willing to flat out lie to push his agenda. i sent him a nice long email.

i like the idea of a call in day. if someone organizes the day i'll do it.

Let's start tossing some dates around. A Monday seems like a better idea.
We need enough time to get the word out.
