Twisted my front end. What do I do.

Ouch...I had to have the S module replaced on my 08. The S module itself is not bad (229.99), but all the other little things and labor really add up. I believe a dealer will charge you about 7-8 hours labor to change it out.

"what do i do"
been there,done that.next time...

Did the same thing last year, I had insurance. Dealer rebuilt it for $4000.00, insurance runs about $39.00 a month all year long but well worth it.

Yeppers. Get some insurance. I use State Farm, they seem to have the best rates and don't b!tch too much when something happens.

Can anyone tell if the e module or the front member/triangle are damaged from the pics? I want to order parts tommorow. I'm going to started taking the sled apart right away. I have to find a starting point. I'll take the cluches off take the start taking the body apart. Hopefully I'll be able to tell whats wrong before taking apart more things than I have to.

Damn rights I did. It's all apart. Needs s and e modules. Chaincase is fixable. The pyramid going under the seat is also fixable. Parts will be about 650 plus hardware. My shock is a little bent but I'm not going to worry about it.

What ya got there is a case of early season ridin'. Happens to folks from time to time.
Yuppers , happens to my two boys EVERY FREAKIN YEAR, they call me a , well u get my point. I doo enough damage in the deep stuff, wont go off the road when theres only a couple feet. DONT be afraid to ask questions..it makes us feel better, and you will gain experience, glad to see your tackling the job your self! Dino

Pyramid is fixed and the e-module will come off tommorow. Those welded rivets are a pain in arse.

What bolts should I use to put it back together? Someone knowledgable just did one with stainless steel hex bolts. Probably work the best but. I seen one done with allan pan head bolts. Looked the best but these would be to easy to strip out if the job had to be done again in the future.Do the s and e modules come with any hardware?

Thanks
Chad

Why don't you just call the dealer to answer all these questions. They should answer questions and order you parts without having to do the labor if you choose to do it yourself. By the way all snowmobile parts do not come with the hardware. The hardware all have separate part numbers.

Did the same thing to mine. It is at the dealer now getting the s module. $2700 to $3000. Sucks. insurance was a good idea. My left ski was only 3/4" behind the right, and destroyed the lower a arm to do that much damage.

The one dealer doens't know a thing...and the other doesn't answer phones. The BRP parts list shows some type of bolts included in 2-7 s module and 1-5 e module but according to the few people I talked to, they had to find them elsewhere.

I ride a Cat however there are a couple of things to keep in mind that may help you tackle a problem of this magnitude. Take some detailed pics before you tear it apart as well as some notes. Pay particular attention to hose and wire routing. Also an assy. manual will be worth its weight in gold for a first time tear down like this. Go Slow! Take your time and think things through. I think its great to see your willingness to tackle this. Good Luck.

tear down went well. I've been staring at it and going through it in my mind. The hoses that connect to motor are what I'm a little confused about. I marked the black hoses left right and center. But now after I have the motor out I cant remember where they go on the motor. Does anyone have a pic.

Sounds like you need to find a new dealer.
