the more I look at this the more I think the head was not torqued enough. The O rings appear to be in good shape, although they are old and the bolts did not have the washers under them.
Either way she ran great since 2007 when I bought it, under a cold start this season something let go, so I figured time for a top end.
fuel filter, clutch puller (I cut mine up and used it for something else?), thermostat and water pump kit in the mail....
today I plan to fix the stator on billet engine and do a compression test, I will probably just put it in my sled and rebuild top end on this 900 for my guest 900
