10:30PM Thursday night, I am looking for somebody to drive with, and ride with as well at Turny on Friday.... I don't really want to go over the top.... I have a 2 place trailer, I will be checking my PM and the forums from 6am tomorrow.... I just don't feel like driving by myself, it's too spendy...

Ok ... my arms are noodles, the snow was deep and sweet ... the blue bird skys were a gift from above ... nirvana. UpAndOver Baby!
Sad news for anyone who rode Turny today (thursday) ... on the flats just past Placer, a truck went off the road and slid into the lake adjacent to the road and flipped upside down as it broke through the ice, both passengers could not get out in time and died in the cab ... two body bags laying on the pavement as went by .... life is a gift, today is a great day to be alive.

Nice day up at Turny - clear skies and deep powder -, dropped into Main bowl and rode the ridge to the second bowl. Snow is set up fairly nice, but that being said, sketchy conditions still exist.
I have Air Guard weekend.... so those of you going down, make a carve or two for me!
To the rocket scientists who like camping at the steep bottle neck between the trees right before the 1st bench:
If your buddies can't make it past that point without trenching and getting stuck, its a pretty good indication they have no business going any further. Not a good idea to take people into areas that are beyond their skill level - keep in mind an avalanche in 1999 in that general area is where 10 riders were caught, and is where 6 of them took the last breathes of their lives.... and injured 3 others(Anyone have that video? I searched high and low and hoped to post it, but can't find it, and haven't seen it since 2002ish).
To make things worse, you guys parking and watching him/her stuck and clogging that bottle neck creates additional unnecessary hazards for not only the people trying to get up, but MOSTLY for the people who are coming down and can't see through trees(and can't stop).
Not trying to lecture or be a dìck, but everyone's safety is at stake here, please use common sense people....

There were 4 of them total, the bigger guy was there as well. But he really did not get stuck too much, he did good helping himsef out...
lol awsome. Their rider ability has no correlation with mine, lol. I don't know how many times I've been on a ridge or a higher bench and watched them eat hot pockets below me. Anyone headed south today? I'll be at firemans with my brother and a few of his buddys in a grey supereduty.
