Turbo reeds?

I did some searching on here and most of the infop is from a while back. What is the general consenses for turbo reeds? The stock ones just won't last long enough for me and would be a pain to change on the trail on a Pro.

How many miles are you getting out of your reeds and how much boost are you running

Yup. was just wondering if any advancments have been made to help them last longer?
I think one of my cages has a little damage at the rubber tip so I might have to get a new cage for it.

You don't double them all up. Im sure if you look at the damaged reeds, its the same ones every time. Havnt noticed any diff in response and they last. This year I am running Water 2 Air and only 8lbs so that helps aswell. Is the sled intercooled? Big boost no intercooler long pulls = big intake temps and burnt reeds. IMO

I'm very curious how the ones from the-sled-shop work. You should buy them and report back about them.:face-icon-small-coo
Just messing with you(Although I am curious about them because I haven't heard about them until 2 weeks ago. Price seems good if they last as good as stockers.)

Im with TurboMatt as well. Id like to try the reeds from the sled-shop but hesitant to. I run stock with bottom reeds doubled up right now and they will last all season. I replace them in the summer so I don't have to screw with them in the middle of a riding season. Hate to try something new for it not to last.

As far as doubling them up I don't really notice much of a difference on throttle response. Now I don't use full reeds on the bottom. I cut them down about 1/4"

Running them in a T-PRO and a T-Dragon this year and so far they are working great. Haven't run them to failure yet so I can't comment on how long they will last. I can say they have lasted longer than another aftermarket brand that I won't name. It is definately better than spending $200.00 a set.

Why dont more people run a oil line to a T and tap oil fittings into the throttle bodies? I got a kit from Hm and definitely works well. My reeds have 2 seasons on them and still look great. I will post up some pics next time I am at the shop.

Mine is a BD kit and I run a little oil in my fuel. My prob is I like lots of boost so less then ten is boring. Tried 8 last weekend. lasted about 5 miles and back to 12 it was.

reeds

Forgive me floor my ignorance but what does trimming 1/4 of do to help. Or how does that prevent the coping 4 and failing of the reed? I run a BD 8-10 lbs depending on who I'm with.
