Turbo question

I had my apex out last weekend with a bd turbo i ran it at 14 pounds boost and it worked good for the day" holy sh!t power" until at the end of the trip. I wanted to try it at 16 pounds before we left. When i went off to try it. The sled came out of the hole hard, but didn't sound like it was making the power it should on top and didn't sound clean. I must say my innovate ot gauge lost its calibration mid day so wasn't reading correct " buying a aem now".I put the boost back down to 14 pounds and the settings on my box where they were all day and the same result. If i ease in to the throttle its fine to just over half. I cant find a vac leak, fuel pressure is at 36 pounds, pl box seems to be working fine and no codes. The only thing i did find was some water in the intercooler,Could this be the culprit?

Sounds like you blew the throttle bodies off or intercooler, possibly even a loose charge hose.

You won't likely be able to "see" a boost leak uless the throttle bodies obviously poped off. You need to make a boost leak tester and pressurize your intake system to find if you really have one.

Thanx for the reply guys. The charge tube was on the throttle bodies are on. It may have been not visable like one said.Ill try to presure up the system and see. So the water you guys dont think is a problem? There was enough in there to get my attention. I got to get it going by the weekend its going to be real deep and sunny:)

Did you notice what kind of boost you were getting? It does sound like a boost leak so make a tester to pressurize the system like zebiraross said and listen for air leaks.
