I rode a turbo pro last year for an hour up at Cooke in some awesome steep and deep next to my stocker 2012. True the turbo out highmarked my stocker by quite a ways, but I was unimpressed with the turbo lag in technical manouvers. Maybe a guy can get used to that lag and ride accordingly, but I was happy to trade back to my stocker. I just purchased a 2014 carryover 163 and am also debating turbo, BB, or Nitrous. I still have a 2006 summit X with nitrous as a backup sled and it has gobs of power, but the chassis is just too heavy compared to the new machines. But boy oh boy does nitrous make up the difference.
I'm looking for quick throttle response and reliability. I ride between 6K and 12K. I would have a specialized shop do the mods, but its hard to choose the best shop to do the work.
