Turbo Nytro Clutching

I have a 11 se 162 that i am installing the mpi turbo kit on, I plan on running it at about 12lbs if (I can ever get a intercooler) what would be a good starting point on the clutching?, I am not a clutch expert by any means. Thanks a bunch!

MCX 240 running 12lbs
B-W-B primary
14.5 rollers
60g supertips 3 grams in the heel.
EPI Purple 1-0
shockwave 1.5

pulls 8600-8900RPM at 8000-10,000FT

My setup still needs some tuning - which I will get done as soon as I'm back in the lower 48....

anyhow, I run 10-15lbs of boost depending on the day. Stock spring in the primary, red/white AC spring in the secondary. Shockwave turned out 1.5ish, 60G supertips with 14g in the heel...so 74g in total. I think it may be on the heavy side, but like I said I am still getting it tuned. I haven't had enough rides on it to get it dialed...this setup had me at 8-8300 RPMs.

Scott1, who did you buy the kit from, they usually are willing to help alot. I got my kit from Mark at Montana Yamaha, and he's been great. my 2 cents

Direct from MPI, I have their setup info, Just want to know what everyone else has had luck with.

What stage is the MPI kit at,,some of this info your getting if for MCxpress Turbo's which depending on the kit could be totaly diff than what you need for your MPI kit. Mc has about three stages for it's Nytro 180, 240 and 270..hp

Dude, I'm running a turbo, not a S/C, MPI ships the kit at 5lbs? I'm adding a intercooler and gna crank it up to about 10-12lbs. There aren't many of these out yet and I believe Darrin at E&S is the only guy that has added the I/C and upped the boost. I'm just looking for a starting point!
I'm no expert but 12lbs from mcx should be close to the same power as 12lbs from mpi.

The shockwave is very nce to have. Once your weight is dialed in you can fine tune with it. All you do is loosen a set screw and turn it in or out to adjust. If you order it you can pick their brains as well for a setup.
