Turbo apex problems, need help

Thanks for the tips 4strokenewb.

I took it for a spin today and it ran much better. But still wouldn't idle. It would flash code 14 hit or miss, but only when I was trying to make it idle down below 2000rpm. ALso noticed it varied the RPM's from 1200-2000 when code 14 was flashing. No code, no RPM searching.

Also noticed my boost guage was reading real low boost for what it was actually pulling. As 4strokenewb pointed out, this would be a vac leak? Building a fitting for the intake to pressurize the system and see where it's leaking. Hoping that will fix the code 14 issue. Other than that, sled seemed to run just fine.

If your set up like mine, your boost guage is tee'd from the same line that feeds your map sensor. If one of the hoses (total of four, one from each throttle body) that feeds the map and the boost gauge has came loose, you will show low on your boost gauge and your idle will be high. In addition, if your map is not getting a full pressure signal, you won't get enough fuel to cover for what boost your running.....this=too lean..... it runs like crap or will just about kill the motor if your way lean like having a loose hose. Hmmm how would I know that?

Hey Tom, did you find your leak?

Sure did! Made that fitting like you said and pumped air to it. Found a couple small leaks and a massive air leak on the aluminum precooler under the tunnel. It has no front mount and rests right on a sharp metal edge. Wore a whole right through it over time and was dumping massive air.

Fixed all the leaks and for the most part ran good. No more code 14 or idle issues. New TPS was key too.
