They are fairly easy, you need to take your head off...

I have a set for a KX450 for sale if you'd like PM me. They will work for other makes and models too, we just have to check the bolt length.

They are pretty easy to install. I had to take my cams off to get at the head studs under the cam. As for max boost on the stock studs I would not really know haven't taken it to the limit where you would blow a head gasket. But I was running 8 pounds of boost on the stock stud for a bit last year and it seemed fine. But I would recommend just buying the KMS studs to just play safe and not blow a head gasket.

And no you do not have to take your head off. All I did was take one bolt off then replace it with the new stud.
