Trying to decide what to do

I have an 04 3/4 ton Dodge diesel quad cab shortbox with about 63,000 miles. Thinking about upgrading to a 12 Dodge 1 ton longbox crewcab. The extra room would be nice for the kid. Also getting rid of 4 place enclosed to put on a sleddeck. Just trying to get information/opinions about switching or if I should keep the old ride and just put a deck on it. Thanks for the input.:usa2:

Don't know anything about the two trucks really, but I went from a quad cab (dodge) to a crew cab (chev) and wonder why I didn't do it sooner. Makes hauling the family around so much better. I stayed with the short box though. A long bed crew cab gets to be like driving a bus. My brother has that combo and I guess once used to it it's probably not bad, but it feels big to me.

If money isn't an issue then get the 12' and throw a toyup sled deck on! I'm not a fan of long box trucks but to each their own! Let us know what u decide on. Maybe go test drive a 12' dodge, chevy, and ford just to make sure ur getting what u really want.

I went from a shortbox to a longbox after having my deck in the SB for a year. It was the best move I made for hauling sleds and pulling trailers. That being said it's not my daily driver, and only gets used for hauling/pulling.

Thanks for the input. 12 Dodge Laramie longbox CC in the driveway. Can't wait to find the right sled deck and get out on the sleds. Everyone stay safe in the hills this Spring!!
