It all comes down to the pyschology of marketing. Just look from a marketing stand point how fast this little video went viral in the snowest polaris forums and Arctic Cat Forums. Strangely not in the yamaha or ski-doo forums however.
I ask the question " What is one area that is hardly ever discused regarding the weight of a sled?" The Dry weight and wet weight have been talked about and beat to death and most people now realize all the games the MFR's play regarding these.
I honestly cant think of one time that I have come across a debate about how much snow a sled collects as you ride it and how that relates back to the overall weight of a sled. However everyone who rides a sled is well aware of the snow and ice that build up on sleds over the course if the day.
I think that we have just seen a glimse into the new battle feild where the next war over wieght will be fought.
It is always good to be the first one to get a shot off so to Arctic Cat to bring this issue to the fore front. just my opinion though.
